Looking to see if anyone has some longer term use reviews and whether or not this is still worth buying.

Thanks

I've been using the Pro for 7 months. Primarily for ride recording and upload to Strava, but occasionally for navigation. No power, cadence or heart rate so can't speak to accuracy there.

It's been totally reliable with no shutdowns, no crashes, no freezes and no GPS drops. The recorded GPS tracks are accurate and upload to Strava is problem free.

Navigation is just ok. As I've muttered before, in absolute terms it's mediocre, primarily down to iits clumsiness in handling downloaded routes. Also, with complex and/or city routes it becomes difficult to follow due to sluggish map and direction refresh and the small, low resolution nature of the screen. Sometimes you just need to stop and check with a good phone mapping app.

At the price point however - and I paid £65 - it's perfectly serviceable.

I've recently gotten one and I can't recommend it.
It's small things that just get in the way:
- it's 100% app dependant. You literally can't start using it without downloading OneLapFit, creating an account and connecting the device, seems shady.
- does not connect to a PC via USB. If you want to add gpx files you have to add them 1 by 1 and they send them to the device 1 by 1 from the mobile app.
- when uploading activities to Strava it names them itself instead of letting Strava do it and you can't change what the name is (on the Geoid side, you can change them manually on Strava). The default is something like "01-10-26Ride" which looks bad.
- the map looks kinda bad. I don't know whether it's the screen resolution being lower than Garmin or lack of processing power but the map is a very small upgrade over a breadcrumb trail of something like IGPSport 200. It's just sort of blurry, with 1-2 random street names floating slightly misaligned with actual streets.

I still need to check it for sticky watts but either way I'll be looking for a 840 Edge around the Black Friday/Christmas sales.

Yeah, that's just how Magene/Geoid bike computers work. The second issue is especially frustrating, though. I guess the app does some preprocessing on the GPX files, which is probably why they don't let you import them via USB. Or maybe they just cheaped out and made the USB port charging-only.

I fixed it with activityfix.com. Every time I upload an activity from a Geoid/Magene device, the title automatically resets to Strava's default.
