Yes, we would assume that's fairly normal given the type of material used.

Just to clarify, these images were taken online and used for illustration purposes to highlight that ZEN is now offering wheelsets built with Berd spokes.

The photographs are actually of genuine Berd wheelsets, built and supplied by Berd themselves, and were featured in a Cycling Weekly review. We simply replaced the original hub branding with ZEN for illustration purposes.

Given that these are genuine Berd wheels, built by Berd themselves, and considering that the spokes are made from a braided polymer fibre material rather than conventional steel or carbon, I would assume some loose or protruding fibres are fairly normal and not necessarily an issue.

This allows customers to choose from a wide range of rim and hub combinations to suit their individual requirements.

We'll be offering these as custom-built carbon wheelsets, with weights and pricing depending on the selected configuration.
