Guys, is there a frame that looks like this one but is cheaper?

Velobuild, spcycle, tantan... the options are there

MVDP also rides a short fit with a 110 stem and wide handlebars, he's got an FTP of 450 and is one of the best riders in the world (I'd say despite his rather bad fit on the bike that he's used to from his CX days!). My power is 70W lower, I suck at racing compared to him, and I still need a much longer fit because I've got totally different body morphology. Many Uno X riders use the Ridley Noah Fast with long 150+mm Deda stems despite the longer fit of the frame and so on; it's like there's as many fits as there are riders.

MvdP uses a 120 stem on the Aeroad and sizes down to 110 on the Grail.

Needing a 150 stem on the GRT sounds very strange to me. That would put you on a 160 stem on a comparable road bike. Can't you size up?

QuoteI asked this some months before and didn't get an answer then, but has anyone built up this frame with a headset cover that takes exposed non-integrated brake hoses, something like what Mondince and Tideace often have for their frames? I am very much interested in buying the GRT but because of the shorter fit I can't use an integrated barstem (nobody makes them in 150mm+ stem lengths), and semi-integrated solutions like Deda aren't really cutting it because of the rather high stack of this frame. I'd ideally want to use something like a -12 or -17 standard stem with long reach handlebars, and route the cables externally up to the headset where they'd go in those little holes/slots.

Perhaps worth looking into a FSA SMR to ACR adapter?

I am 190cm so I need an XL or XXL. My current Mondince FM316 in size L has 435 reach and 610 stack. I use a -17° 140 stem and 70mm reach handlebars for a total reach of 635mm. On the GRT, I could size up to the XXL which has 415 reach, but it still has 20mm less reach so I'd either have to use a 100mm long reach handlebar like the Pro Aero Pursuit with a 130mm stem, but for that I'd need that normal stem adapter, or a 160mm stem with a "normal" 70mm reach, and those kind of integrated solutions do not exist on the market. What's more, 610 stack is a bit high for my liking, so I need that -17° stem – which again is not possible with an integrated solution, but separate bar and stem make that possible.

Sizing up more than XXL is not possible, and based on other bikes would probably not be good because usually the stack increases much more than the reach when you size up, something which seems very odd to me (Why would I want an endurance fit just because I am tall?), but whatever.

The Mondince has this kind of headset cover with holes for cables (pic related is a photo they sent me). Could you confirm whether this exists for the GRT?

If XMCS doesn't include this, FSA, Deda, Acros, Ritchey, Enve, CK and whoever else all have headset covers in this style for every budget, that'll fit the GRT too.

Mind if i ask what your inseam is? I'm wondering if you have a very long torso as your fit seems off for someone who is 190cm.

In that picture you have a huge effective stack with all the spacers and that will require a longer stem.

That is not my bike, it's a photo Mondince sent me. I run the Mondince slammed.

My inseam is 91cm which I believe is very bog standard for a 190cm guy, and my wingspan is bang on 190cm as well. But I do like the more progressive fit, so I am probably a bit more forward than the usual guy my size. This allows me to rotate my hips a bit more and subsequently calls for a longer fit. If you check the modern/progressive fit threads here or on WW, you'll see that my fit is very much in line with what others are advocating for. Ridley's new Falcn RS 2.0 has almost perfect geometry for me in size L.

Sorry not the best photographer but here is one with 40mm Michelin Pro 5s

Anyone have a picture of the aero gravel handlebar? I am considering choosing the normal aero handlebar, which doesnt have as much flare.
