So ThinkRider just dropped PP6 beta signups... Fix the PP5 drift tho?

Check the pinned comment on the YT video "Update: Test ride 2 done and the numbers are looking lots better. 2 x15 min threshold (340w) and was about 1.2% off my Magene pedals. Maybe it really did just need breaking in properly!"

Maybe thinkRider rep contacted him which fixed the numbers 😁

This is an interesting timeline to observe. I really hope they've resolved the PP5 issues with the PP6. I won't believe it until I see it myself.

I had issues with two Nexga S1 powemeters that needed several days after delivery to stabilize and produce reliable measurements. I wonder if the issue he is experiencing with his PP6 are related.

I sure hope so because if that's the only problem, this could be an amazing proposition for value

If you're able to give us a solid review with a comparison to another PM, then I say go for it. It would do this forum a great service if you find out for us that there's a decent PM cheaper than the Geoid PM500

PP6 torque analysis looks interesting. Curious if it's any good – if reviews hold up and BF pricing drops, I'll probably grab one.

gplama

Is there any information about this torque analysis? I've only seen people(?) getting really excited about it, without any detail whatsoever.

WillXAX

Exactly what I'm wondering too. Curious if it's just an app-rendered 360° torque curve, or if spider-based meters can actually calculate real Torque Effectiveness and Power Phase. Hopefully someone tests it soon.

Yours? Sure ;D

Well I bought one, it's arrived and been fitted. I had a quick ride on it a couple of days ago to bed it in and it appeared to be roughly right. After a 90 minute zone 2 session on my Kickr core it gave exactly the same average wattage but the instant readings are nowhere near as smooth but I presume this is normal. I'll try and compare it at weekend to my Magene P715S pedals.

I received an email presumably from somebody associated with Thinkrider after being selected from a Reddit post's comment section to test the PP6. If it actually shows up, could somebody help me figure out how to compare it to my favero power pedals to test it? I can put it through its paces for sprints, but I've got to figure out how to put the numbers side by side.

Possibly. I downloaded the app from their website and it was in Chinese.
