Ahhh OK. So nobody has received it yet; anyway better that they solve the problem rather than send defective frames.  I'm placing my order now and they promise mid July shipping, that it is not so bad if it will be real  :-X .
About the bike... I have an old full suspended specialized 26" and this will be a big step ahead for sure; before falling in love with this frame my idea was to build an hardcore hardtail; the santa china is gonna be miles ahead in downhill performance, but what about uphill? I'm planning to keep the total weight around 13 kg that it isn't terrible, but the effect of the modern geometry plus possible pedaling bobbing I'll see on the field .
Anybody can recommend a rear shock with proper total lockout?

Now you make me wonder if we'll all get our frame shipped mid july or if earlier buyer will get them sooner hmmm

Given the position of the shock, a remote actuated shock would be really cool for a build like you're describing. Both Rockshox and Fox versions that are actuated via remote have a very solid platform.

I'm super psyched about this build.  ...
What are you guys doing?

That looks like it will be a solid build.

I'm swapping a few parts over from my current bike, mostly the Lyrik Ultimate and carbon wheelset.  The rest is on its way.  Went full XT groupset, KS dropper and the Syncros copy integrated bar/stem.   I still need to get a rear shock and a seat.  I'll be selling the Seraph FM356 I built last summer once the new bike is done.

As the wait is long we can meanwhile share ideas about the build; I want to do a light build to make it capable to go uphill, I believe the possibilities of this bikes will exceed my skills downhill so I don't need to work too much on this.
My idea is to do 150-150 mm excursion, fork maybe a Pike, rear whatever is light, cheap and locks properly; for the wheels I was thinking actionsport.de , funworks 28 mm alloy rims and hubs, approx 500 eur and around 1650 grams, but now I discovered BTLOS carbon wheels, more expensive but probably they worth the extra money. Some other ideas for wheels? Favourite chinese company?
Groupset I prefer shimano XT, brakes also XT or formula cura; I see nice knockoff saddles on aliexpress, are they acceptable?

Confused

Lightcarbon makes great wheelsets at affordable prices.

Icyseanfitz

have a set of ican 35id wheels, seem really well built

Gigelz

i got some custom stuff from a local whell manufacturer. carbon-ti x-hub sp boost hubs, full sapim cx ray for front wheel and sapim cx ray + sapim sprint for the rear wheel. and duke crazy star rims.

There may be a better place to ask this, but I will be needing to purchase some tools for this build as well. Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive toolset that will provide most of what I will need for a bike build? Or a list of the tools needed? Or perhaps just point me in the right direction? I'm taking this on as a fun project and also so that I will understand all of the workings of my new bike build, so that I will be better prepared to provide my own maintenance and repairs when the time comes. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

was thinking maybe something along the lines of this...
https://www.amazon.com/Bikehand-Quality-Bike-Bicycle-Repair/dp/B01N07NZ2R/ref=asc_df_B01N07NZ2R/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242055571124&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6099126133571840118&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031947&hvtargid=pla-464656180002&psc=1

or if that is not enough maybe this one...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GJYME6I/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B01GJYME6I&pd_rd_w=lF2zL&pf_rd_p=80360d1c-2d74-4d2e-9034-f92fb5248b33&pd_rd_wg=x65Fk&pf_rd_r=1XCYFM4WNV1RQBR6N47X&pd_rd_r=4e9ca925-9deb-4558-b630-1f62ffc51a5b&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExU0c5WFg4VVU1R0pMJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODAwMzQxQ1M2R0ROS1pRVkhFJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1ODU2ODczNVA1VzIwM1UxUDg2JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Some people says and warns that to build a bike you need "hundreds of dollars of special tools". in my experience isn't like this: give that you have a normal tool set at home all I needed last time was the insert to lock the cassette, the insert for the bottom bracket and the cut chain tool: nothing else, total cost 30 usd maybe less.
You will need again these tools for bike maintenance.
(fork stem could be cutted with a hack saw and leveled with a file, star nut inserted with a screw driver and hammer; if you need to push in headset two washers and a long bolt)

Jotegr

rather than doing a hack job at installing a star nut, press fit BB, or headset, just pay a little bit of money to your LBS. Job done with proper tools, no problem. Do almost everything else yourself.

Negative. I have confirmation from him that any purchases at this time will NOT be on the group buy deal. It's still a great deal though, he quoted USD $699 for the frame + $120 Shipping + $30 Paypal fee.

Cheers!

Keeping the hype up as there's nothing to do other than comment and wait right now.

Ordered some ZTTO goodies for the frame as a lot of people on the forum had good things to say about the company

- ZTTO Chain Guide
- ZTTO BB92 Threaded cup bottom bracket
- ZTTO dropper seat post lever
- ZTTO Ice Rotor 203mm

I've ordered a couple de tools that I wanted as the same times (hanger aligment tools, internal routing,BB socket, hydrolic needle tool)

Still debatting what wheelset I'll put on it
