that's the way it is, my shipping label was created on November 9th and according to DHL the package should arrive today, November 18th  ;D

CyclesNoir

The box arrived last Wednesday.  As of today, I still need to trim the fork and brake lines, connect brake lines to the drifters and bleed same, wrap the handlebars, and calibrate the derailleurs.

Build includes: Wheeltop EDS TX group; Magene PES powermeter crank; 105 11spd 11x34 cassette; KMC chain; old Look Keo pedals; mid-range carbon gravel wheels from LightCarbon/Pro-X; 30mm Vittoria Corsa Pro tube-type tires (until I decide on something wider), Baent TPU tubes, an Aspide saddle copy (don't know yet if it'll be comfortable); a carbon bottle cage; stock seat-post, handlebars & computer mount.  First time using electronic shifting - still not sure if that's the direction I'll go long term (I have too many devices to charge as it is).

With the storage cover installed, no computer, tools, spares, water bottle, in a 56cm, weight comes at 8.1kg.  Trimming the seat-post and adding bar tape should wash, so this is probably the correct long-term weight, with which I'm quite satisfied.  I imagine a lighter group, crankset, and wheels could drop 0.5kg and still be reliable under my weight (85kg).  I doubt I'll explore that, however, because that's a lot of money for less that the weight of a second water bottle.

Anyhow, it didn't happen. without pictures, eh:.

Bike is going great so far and performing flawlessly - its been chucking it down here, so some really nasty conditions - the disc brakes really have came into their own on that one.

2 minor niggles, one wholly personal choice and one more technical.

1. Im definitely not a fan of the handlebars - the "rise" gives a very restricted, uncomfortable feeling (for me) when using the tops.
I've just ordered a Toseek handlebar with raw carbon finish which should match the frame brilliantly from Aliexpress so fingers crossed it will do the job. I was tempted by an Avian Falcon II, but couldn't justify the price.

2. The seatpost clamping mechanism is a pain - very badly laid out for tightening the bolts. Ive had to order a long bit specially for the job as there's no hope of getting a standard bit and torque wrench anywhere near those bolts.
Why oh why can everyone not implement the simple but brilliant 2 bolt system used by the likes of Giant? If there was a compatible seatpost that offered this I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but as the seatpost shape is proprietary I guess there's no chance of finding anything compatible.

Only a couple of small nitpicks, the bike overall has been superb - im looking forward to changing the bars and maybe removing most/all spacers on this fork to get a more racy position.
Im ordering a spare fork which I'll keep with about 25mm of spacers on for big endurance rides / events.

Just received pictures of my size 56 frame. Went for a modified eurobike design with Ferrari red decals. I will build it up with LightBicycle turbo 50 wheels with 30/32 mm gp5000 str and Ultegra r8170 group set.

Looks good! How long was it between placing order and getting the photos?

Cool, that hopefully means I'll get my photos as well this week. Also a modified Eurobike design, with gold changed to dark grey, and featuring the brand name of the bicycles we produce. I work in a bicycle wholesale company that produces Avalon bicycles here in the Netherlands.

Crazy and totally excited, I just quickly snapped a few pictures with my phone from the new Lightcarbon LCR018 frame and I'm absolutely blown away by the quality 👌
Better pictures and more impressions will follow in the next few days 😁

Looks great! I think this might be the first size 50 posted. Would you be able to get a frame weight? Looks like you have a pretty serious roster of bikes, looking forward to some comparisons.

Why isn't the LCR018 listed on their website (anymore)?

Hey Patrick,

I don't think it was ever listed on their website.
But it is included in their catalog, which you can download from their site:

From what I heard from my sales rep, they are waiting to list on the website because demand is already so high they are trying to catch up with current orders before advertising widely it's availability.
