ZTTO rear hub
« on: July 21, 2024, 02:12:57 PM »
good evening everyone, how does this hub look to you? Have any of you tried them?
that's 28h for straight pool centerlook boost 148 micro spline spokes.
I ordered one and would like to try it on a rim I have with 2-1.8-2 spokes
They have the "type" rachet freewheel DT 240 but with 54 teeth.
the weight is around 260gm not bad.
If anyone has already tried them can you give me some opinions? Thank you.

Replace the drive ring (splined part that threads into the aluminum shell that the ratchet sits in) with genuine DT before it strips

I purchased a set a while back.  I haven't built them up yet into wheels.

This one does not have the part screwed into the hub, it has springs on both sides.

I have a set built up. They work great. I have not had any issues with them.  They are a solid option for wheel build.

I'm not saying the ratchet screws into the hub, it's the part that the inner ratchet slides on.  The part in the original dt star ratchet system, big threaded ring on the left side of the picture.

ok ok now I understand.  I thought you'd get confused with the exp version.  I didn't know that part was screwed on.  Did it happen to you that it was eaten?  Thank you.

yes I have the 54t version.  no I have not had any issues with them.  they have been used for some trail and XC riding.  I have them set up as a single speed for a bit too and there were no issues.   I did add some extra grease to the ratchets to quiet them down and I think that they are able to move more freely as well.  I think that binding of the ratchets can cause them to not mesh correctly and cause issues.
