Avitus clipless shoes

So while waiting for the FS831, I’ve decided to review some of the other AliExpress components/apparels that I’ve bought and used.

This year started with me wanting to try clipless for the first time without paying too much for shoes so I went to the good ol’ AliExpress and got those :

C$ 33.98  12% Off | Mens Cycling Shoes Mtb Downhill Enduro Mountain Bike Shoes Compatible with All 2 Bolts Peadls
https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0xtNRz

I’ve used them with crankbrother candy and crankbrother mallet e LS , no issue clipping in or out

Pros
 - Shoes run true to size
 - waterproof
 - Stiff sole to my knowledge of mtb shoes

Cons
 - boa system doesn’t tight equally, gets little toe numb if tightened to hard
 - boa gets loose a bit during riding

Overall I’m happy with them but I’ll probably get the normal lace shoe from the same company for the next pair

These :

Any clue how they ride with flat pedals? I'm wondering if the recessed cleat area is an issue.

They won’t be as good a pair of 5ten or ride concept for sure.

I know the model with lace seems to come with a rubber pad to feel the cleat area so those might be better for flats riding but I can’t  comment on it.

Little update :

After about 600ish km , the solde around the cleat area started to come unglued. Not much for now but I’ll have to shoegoe them sooner than later
