Ive a 44t (3mm offset) on 24mm spindle with xcaday powermeter, I needed to add 3mm spacer on drive side to have a sufficient gap for clearing chainstay. Pasquest make chain ring 110 bcd 0 offset chainring, maybe thats one to consider for needing less spacers.

Yes, I’ve already ordered the Passquest chainring. It’s just strange that other people managed to squeeze 46T with offset using very little spacers. Maybe something changed in frame geometry.

I think they use a direct mount chainring with 0 offset than, that whay you gain again some mm

Hi everyone. I received my frame from Long Teng, everything looked good, except that the seatpost was quite loose in the seattube, I can drop it in the seattube, there is no friction. And when holding it by hand without clamping it i can rock it slightly. When fastened it did feel tight though. Should i be worried about this?
I was wondering how this was with your frames. Thanks.

It's not that uncommon with carbon seatposts vs carbon frames.
Did you try already with carbon paste? I wouldn't make an assessment until you tried that (which is normal practice anyway)

I put my order for a GV201 in on Black Friday. Now I'm thinking through my build components. I'm thinking about a wide range 2X setup using Shimano Cues, but the Cues brakes apparently are designed to only work with 160mm rotors and the frame is for 140mm rotors. Usually a brake set comes with  a mount plate that can adapt to either but the Cues does not come with that adapter and I'm not sure if those are standardized or unique to the frame and/or brakes.

Thanks. I tried that and that indeed made the fit snug, it felt normal then, couldn't rock it anymore, even when not clamped down. So non issue then i suppose.. Do you know if the loose fitting seatpost is by design? With other carbon frames and round seatposts i worked on the seatpost fit snug without carbon paste.

No I don't think so, maybe it's just a combination between the seatpost and/or the seat tube being minimally out of tolerance.
But it's a fairly known thing with carbon bikes in general, so I wouldn't put it against this bike specifically, at least for this type of issue.

Make sure to check the situation again after the first few rides though, as it's also not that unusual to get the seatpost slipping mid ride due to the clamping bolt getting slightly looser (never happened to me to be fair).

You can run 160mm rotors on the GV201.

The flat mount 140 to 160 adapters are standard. 160mm works on this frame perfectly.

I can confirm I've solved this issue by changing the integrated cockpit with another brand.
The issue was 100% related to the stock C-ring that came with the Tantan aero cockpit.
Thanks again to you guys who gave me the correct advice about it.

For the new one, I didn't go with the Lexon gravel bars (which are popular around here) since I didn't like the huge flare.
Instead I went for the Rpantahi (still flared, but just a couple CMs) since it got a lot of positive feedback from other riders in my cycling club.
The price was quite good (around 90 euro) the quality imo was slightly better than the Tantan one, and so far it has proven to be rock solid even on light MTB routes.

The Rpantahi came with two different C-rings, one was plastic with a few holes and one was made out of metal with the classic C shape. I've risked it with the metallic one, but I guess the quality on this one is higher since this time I had no tolerance issues.

I've had it for more than a month, but I only wanted to give a feedback after I was sure about its quality.

Could you post a link to the C rings?

For anyone interested, I mailed Tantan. These are the Torque values for the GR201

handlebar=8-10nm
saddle clamp=4-5NM
seatpost clamp=8-10NM
rear hanger=3NM
Bottle cage hole=3NM
thru axle =9-13NM
headset expander=8-10NM

I wish I had read the replies that followed this info from Tantan. I cracked my Cane Creek eeSilk+ carbon suspension seatpost taking the clamp torque to 8nm. Bummer. I suppose it can cost a lot to learn.

Finally collected my wheels from the wheel builder today so managed to get the whole thing complete. A couple of laps around the estate and everything seems fine. Will get a proper ride in on Sunday. Currently have it set up with 35mm road tyres.

Are you using the stock tideace headset bearings with the original lexon unox c-ring, topcone and spacers? i am not sure if i should go for the FSA ACR headset in combo with the lexon cockpit. also not sure if the metal or plastic c-ring will work better. looking forward hearing from you

Lexon uses no ACR spacer so it will not fit an FSA ACR headset
