God I love that paint scheme. I'd copy it if it wasn't so obvious I'd ripped it off.

Thank you for the kind words.  Go right ahead and copy it.  You could also consider inverting the B&W areas for something similar but different.

What really makes it look good is how the white of the frame transitions into the white fork, and the black rear shock matches the surrounding black area of the frame. If that was intentional, damn good job - and if it wasn't, say it was. :D

The paint scheme flowing into the fork and shock was intentional but not by me, I have to give credit to my wife.  She has the eye for color and patterns.

I'd have to keep it the same since I also have a white fork and black shock.

What I'd really like to do with mine is leave my current decal layout on the bike, scuff everything around it, spray it white, then peel off the decals so they will come through in carbon. Then a nice clear coat over everything.
Maybe next time I do a complete tear down I'll look into that.

Updated pic of the IP-036.

Hi, is the black clearcoat over the carbon, or black paint?

No paint in the black areas, you see the 3k weave through the clear gloss topcoat.

Here is a better shot to see the clear coat finish.

looks excellent! I'm trying to get some ideas for paint design on a cs057.   Oh so you went with 3k, I'm thinking of going UD, but that looks good!

Here is my -057.  It's painted a metallic teal blue with a clear top coat.  Peter can easily duplicate this frame for you.  The black areas are UD carbon instead of 3k so there is no weave pattern.  I recommend the clear top coat to protect the frame and for easy cleaning.
