Bought Frame from Seraph via Ali but got wrong size
« on: October 10, 2024, 06:11:18 AM »
Hey there

As the title says i ordered a frame via Aliexpress from Seraph. The Deal was decent, but yeah doesn't help much if I get an M and ordered an XS.

Now whats the correct way to make sure I either get a replacement or my money back? I know chatting alone and promises won't cut it. But i'd actually like to have the frame so yeah.

Thank you for any guidance.
Alessandro

In the meanwhile the seller confirmed that he cannot replace it without a new order easily. So Return it is. Just how do I do that with the seller covering my shipping cost? return to china costs 130 USD from here.  :o

Involve AliExpress. Sellers are notoriously shady, but AliExpress' own interest is to keep both sides honest. Unless you involve AliExpress formally through a refund request or claim, they are not monitoring your conversations. The seller made a mistake, I would expect they pay for return shipping.
Seraph is tan tan, have you considered ordering via email away from AliExpress? Velobuild, winow, sell on AliExpress but I'd much rather use email and invoices, it makes you less anonymous to them, becoming more of a customer, and less of a number. Also, AliExpress involves hefty fees, so it should cost you less to liaise by email. If they're showing you the same price, call their bluff.
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

Agree with serge. Get Ali involved asap. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the seller. And if you do sidestep Ali channels, don't expect them to help if it goes south.

Hey guys

Thanks for your responses.

Incidentally the Seraph Frame is meant for my girlfriend and while waiting 2 months for the frame I ordered myself a velobuild vb-r 268 which came in three weeks time. So I totally know what you guys are on about.  But as you said its actually TanTan and I thought I make use of some Aliexpress coupons and safe some. There I go and loose some  :(

As for the Ali dispute: Would anyone know what to pick from the options (Without Return or with Returning the frame)? I dont intend to pay return shipping charges, but Ali seems to not be mentioning those anywhere. And I found some posts on reddit mentioning not using returning as they will force you to send often without returning shipping fee.
Any idea how to approach this best?

Thanks again
Alessandro
