Custom branded clothing?
« on: November 17, 2024, 05:48:45 PM »
I've been tasked with investigating getting some tri-gear for our corp events. Has anyone on here had experience with getting custom branded cycling and running gear. It is all low run stuff as we have a small tri team.

There are heaps of sellers that will do custom branding clothing on Ali, but looking at wear life etc as it seems the clothing can be a little hit a miss.

Specifically looking at: swim trunks, tri-suits, nicks, bibs, jerseys, running shorts and shirts

Thanks for the input.

You could ask James at SLS3, he may be able to help.

Alibaba. you can get a thousand quotes in 10min. It's incredibly commoditized.
You can end up spending a lot though, or getting garbage. Finding the right balance is what's hard. But if you're fine leaving money on the table, then you'll find great kit makers on alibaba. MOQs are a vibe more than a reality, even if you only need 1 suit, they'll make it for you. It's extremely easy for them to run anything through their machines and staff.
In fact it's so commoditized now, the new frontier is India / Pakistan / Viet Nam.

Fun fact: Apple and the likes have started moving manufacturing away from China into these countries. While many people in the west still live in the past, sounding like alcoholic boomers claiming that china uses child labor, which was true a good many years ago, China hasn't been a low cost country for a long time now, but rather a manufacturing behemoth. If you want cheap, you go to China's satellites now. North Korea also produces a lot of stuff on behalf of China (there are documentaries on Hugo Boss stuff being made in North Korea, for example, and that is not new). But you wont find north korean sellers on alibaba :p
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.
