New Frame - Quick AR:One

Joe just posted a new video showcasing a pretty interesting frame.

Looks like another competitor to the SL7/8, albeit quite a bit cheaper. Still expensive at ~2k USD, but it is a true monocoque frame, UCI certified etc. Not yet available to purchase.

Watched the video and it has a low stack lower than an SL8 which I rode a 54cm which is M in an AR and the stack is lower by 8mm! defo would have to go far a large. He said it is a race bike and not particularly comfortable. $2k seems to be the norm now for these Chinese frames, i am still looking at a T1550 or maybe an SLC3. My winter bike is the SLC2.0

I don't think you can pull the trigger on this yet, Joe said it's gonna be a few months at least before it's ready for retail.

I've been in communication with Joe about buying one myself for a couple of months.

The geometry for myself is SPOT ON, and I love a firm/stiff riding frame like my Propel Advanced Pro. Almost as light as my Tarmac SL8 Pro. On paper the bike looks incredible.

Just like with the Tavelo Arow this Quick Pro frame seemingly could replace the majority of my fleet. Making the $2000 price tag just a little easier to swallow. We really are reaching the point where Chinese brands are catching up to the Western folks. I can't even see myself purchasing another Western brand having ridden a few now.

But sadly my bike budget is tapped out until 2025. I've pretty much reached peak aero frame redundancy so I'd have to offload few frames beforehand. I don't love the brand name either. Then again...I probably wouldn't love having "GIANT" in big letters on my Propel if it wasn't for the fact they've spent decades becoming a household name.

if I wanted a light allround bike, this is what I would go for. But I will be waiting on the ER:One, hope it will be even a bit more aggressive. Probably coming sometime in Q2 2025, based on the AR:One development-to-release cycle

Yeah, my bad. I was reading a response to the ER:One. So to correct myself, the AR:One should be available for purchase right now.

The headtube to fork transition is really ugly.

Weight looks good, but stiffness seems too extreme for anything other than perfect tarmac. Price tag is 'OK'. The PP design is cool.
