let me be a bit suspicious about their EPS technology!

The Hygge Model S is also EPS molded and that frame comes with handle bar. Actually the price on that frame with BF pricing and coupons looks really good right now.

Because of the price ?

i have no idea of the cost of the technology
but chinese know how to sell with the mandatory words . lying is like telling the truth .
we need proofs
Maybe they use it , maybe not  ;)

only really cheap (several years old velobuild frames) are NOT EPS moulded these days. It's easy to tell looking inside the frame. if it's clean, it's EPS moulded. If it's full of wrinkles and glue, it's bladder moulded, and i wouldn't buy such a frame, because for another 100 bucks or so, you can get an EPS moulded frame. The probability of delamination / carbon failure is higher in bladder moulded frames, because compression is much less consistent. It's also easier to route a frame with clean internals, and it's pleasing to have a frame that looks well made.
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

easy to say only when the frame is already between your hands, ready for a coelioscopy of the the down tube. but before sending the money?

It's easy, ask questions. Honest sellers answer them. You're also less likely to be shipped a shitty frame if the seller perceives you as someone who is more likely than average to notice problems. When you sell things to people who have zero understanding of what they're buying, especially with his Chinese culture is, it's very tempting to meet quality fade. Asking questions is a good quality fade hedge.

another clue can be the weight, no doubt that EPS molding save the weight (one big layer is better than several small layers), more than 100gr for sure

but if i compare to western compagnies , i have some questions.
For example canyon is famous to build the thinnest (and fragilest) frames (the process is pretty optimized), the ultimate  frame is given for 1050gr(cf), 850gr(slx), 730gr(cfr). if we ignore the CFR which use expensive HM M... carbon fiber, i wonder how can OEM chinese factories  reach these weights with thicker frames (even by using EPS molding). Giant TCR is around 850 gr too, maybe helped by the slopy frame.

With my short knowledges, i understand the following facts:
high modulus means same stifness than low modulus with less material, less weight but fragiler due to a smaller tensile strength
T800 and T1000 show the same stifness but T1000 is 10/15% more robust and 10% denser
T700 is 20% less stiff than T800/1000 too but slightly more robust than HM carbon fiber (starting by M..)
T800 is at least 30% more expensive than T700

So how can chinese OEM factories produce the same weight than a slx with ticker frames, with probably the same fibers (not the same supliers or/and coating), and with a less controlled distribution of fibers? i use to say to an friend who is astronomer: dark matter takes place within chinese carbon frames but weight is missing.

I think 800-850g seems reasonable for an aero'ish T800 carbon frameset. All these companies say they're T1000, but that's just part of the marketing routine to rope in the noobies.

Anyways, just pick a vendor that has good communication and answers your questions. Though if they keep calling you "friend" in every reply, they're probably bullsh*ting you!  ;D

T800 carbon is stronger and lighter and 11% stronger than T700 in terms of tensile strength.
T800 is also slightly stronger than T700 in terms of compressive strength too.

Winspace has built the SLC 2 with an unknow proportion of T700/T800 around 800gr before painting, but i believe that's a serious and reliable factory with optimised process. it s not properly achievable by all

As someone who has been buying AliEx/Chinese components the last few years, I've started to see a pattern of optimized manufacturing processes. There are cases when things get sloppy later on, but I also see refinements and maturation of products. For example, I feel sub 1300g disc wheelsets are starting to become the new norm and ultralight wheelsets are now going down to 1100g and less. As they've improved the processes, prices have gotten cheaper as well. Same goes for carbon cranksets. They're becoming lighter, stronger and affordable.

If you feel more comfortable buying a Winspace, go for it. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise! Personally, I somewhat enjoy the challenge of making this stuff work properly. There's a certain thrill of the DIY'er mentality. Other people prefer stability and security in their purchases, and that's okay as well!  ;)

it s not a question of buying easter or western. it s a question of buying a mix of acceptable stifness and safety.
