Email from Candy today

Hi, dear  Richard
No problem , i have helped you change the address..
for the delivery time, first i hope you can understand , this frame is very hot selling, We have no stock in our warehouse.so have to arrange the production, cuz now it  is near coming to our chinese spring festival and we have a lot of oders need deal with timely , so your frame will be finish and arrange to EMS air shipping after finishing  our holiday, maybeFebruary 10,now all chinese factory is very busy ,
so pls kindly understand and patiently wait .we are sure to send you high quality frames
Best regards
candy

I thought I'd ordered in time to avoid this delay! As long as I get a 100% perfect frame then a small delay is cool.

That stinks, but EVERYTHING shuts down for Chinese New Year.

Well, everything that involves selling stuff to the West.

Picked up my 062 from Parcel Force this morning and paid the £56 import duty at 11am, bike finished apart from a few minor jobs..... Reba is currently 120mm travel and looks ok but I will change it to 90mm as I have the airshaft, really happy with the frame quality and service from WorksWell.... Routing the rear brake hose wasn't to difficult and shifter was run with full housing... Weight is 10.045 kg but will reduce that with carbon cranks and wheels at some point..... I could revert to s-works tyres and save 500g but I like my X-King and Race-King protection, tyres are run 2bliss on the Mavic CrossMax......

You 100% right about the frame flex on the 062 rear Carbonazza when laying the power down, all the independent reviews I've read also mention the flex on the genuine carbon frame....... Its not a problem for me as i don't race and its such a fun frame to ride.....

Hi Richard,

I did thousands of km with the 3 frames. My order of preference is:

041: stiff and extremely stable when hammering the pedals.
The 27.2 seatpost provides comfort for the higher part of the frame.
Definitely my preferred of the 3.

062: the most playful on more technical terrain.
But it flexes too much when sprinting.
It is now my backup bike.

256: It was my first Chinese bike. And it sits between the two above, stiff but easy to corner too.
Unfortunately I did fall with all my weight on it last year, and a seatstay broke in 3 pieces.
I think it was more bad luck than a construction issue. The seatstay of the 062 are as skinny as the 256.
A friend has a 256 for 2 years now, he likes it so much, he bought another one second hand here on the forum.

As you may guess it quickly gets subjective or about impressions.
One thing sure, is that whatever frame you buy of the 3, you will be happy :)

I'm 5'10" too, and took always Large, with my 89cm inseam a 17 would put my seat far to high.

Dropping weight.

Upgraded cranks to X01 direct mount and dropped another 200g  ;D

Yes they are. I'm a big fan of the Sram GXP cranksets. The carbon ones aren't as light as the RF Next cranksets but they can be found for almost half the price.

I finally got the SID bumped up to 120mm but I'm currently buried in snow so I won't be trying it out anytime soon.
