Wheelset from xmiplay

Yesterday I bought a carbon wheelset.
The seller is xmplay.
I were in contact with Bert since december,she's very cool.

We have been ok with a good price,and i'm waiting to receive it,after i will be able to test and write something about those wheels.

Rims are HR930C and hubs are novatec wieght is around 1500gr.

I bought the same wheel set three years ago from XMIPlay. In the time Peter was a co-worker there.
The actual weight was 1540gr. Still have the wheel set, but the Novatec didn't hold it. See somewhere in my topic. The hubs are now replaced with DT Swiss 350 hubs.
If I have to buy a new wheel set again, I certain go for this wheel set again, but with DT Swiss 350 hubs.

Too expensive for me dt swiss.
Possible in the future to update this wheelset.

It's my first carbon wheels,the actual wheelset on my NINETY-SIX is around 1900gr.

How many time/km have you keep the novatec ?

About novatec,i can read all things.
Someone are very satisfy some other have no luck with those hub.

I'll see if it's good for me and my ride and my country.....

I think about 6000km.
Overall Novatec is okay. Maybe I had bad luck. At the end for me, it's was cheaper to buy it with DT Swiss 350 right away. But what happend with the 350 after 6000km ?

I understand.
6000km for me it's 3-4 years.
I ride MTB and road bike.
Around 1000-1500 km/year with MTB.
And 2000-3000km with the road bike.

I got my wheels today, and I'm pretty disappointed ....
1> the weight does not correspond to what was agreed.
I had asked for 1500gr wheels, I weighed 1675gr.

2> I had asked the scotch for tubeless mounting .... there is none.

3 <I had requested the valves ..... they are missing.

 I will not recommend to xmiplay, for a first order of carbon wheels, the disappointment is quite important.
I sent him an email to signify my disappointment.

I thought to win about 400-500gr, suddenly, it will be necessary for me to feel happy if I win 300gr.
finally I should have taken aluminum wheels at a fitter I found on the web, it would have cost me the same price, with a lower weight and a hub better .......

now, I hope I'm not bored with these wheels, because I don't want to have any contact with XMiplay anymore.

Not sure what combo wheels you ordered.

But 1500g/pair wheels should be possible to do. Novatec hubs 400g + Sapim CX-Ray spokes with nipples (5.5g x 56) 308g + 400g rim x 2 = 1508g, there might be about 40-50g tolerance on rims and hubs, anyway I think this combo wheels should still weigh less than 1550g/pair.

BTW, it is still Chinese new year holiday here, we won't get back to work until Feb 24th. Good luck there.

i have novatec hub 792 and 791
i don't know the spokes,they are flat....
the rims are IP-RM930C 410gr.

so,xmiplay told me a weight around 1500gr +-50gr..........and i have a wheelset with +175gr.

i have all the message in my mailbox.

I've got the same wheels: novatec d771/d772sb, cx-ray spokes and hr930c. Weight: 1540gr. As expected.
What spokes do you have?

Have you check them on a different scale? Or check to see how accurate your scale is? A 10% error would put you just over 1700g on a 1550 gram wheel set.

My scale is ok.
I test with my scale and with a peson.....same weight.

I opened a dispute.
After long time,they considered i'm right.
I shipped back the wheelset and i have had my money back.

I just lost the custom tax(around 50€).

But Noone wanted to buy this wheelset with this weight.

I tried to sell , with a small financial lost,but in vain.
