Looks great! Kind of glad I couldn't find a coil shock for a decent price and ended up with a RockShox Super Deluxe. Seems like the clearance for coils is very tight.

To get ok clearance with the Marzocchi Bomber CR i did a small modification on the coil and damper. I grinded of about 3 mm on the backside and now its all clear

My friend also built a LCFS947 and he loves it. HE also has a TREK Fuel EX 9,7 and in most ways the LCFS947 is better. Its a better climber and its better downhill, only on tight technical trails the TREK is  a little quicker. (its shorter)

Thanks for all the awesome progress reports. I've been researching this frame for about a week which led me here. Are those individuals with complete builds starting to ride them heavily? How's the frame holding up?

StefanB - It might be worth mentioning to your friend to move the front brake line inside the fork leg so they don't catch the line on a passing branch. The bike looks awesome.

I've put 150 / 200 miles on this bike.
Some technical stuff, some fast bumpy trails, rock gardens, a couple of minor crashes.
No big jumps/drops, I can't do that
Please consider that I'm quite light: 65kg / 144lb

All is fine so far.

I haven't recieved my frame yet, but from looking at the drawings - I would say that no, a Float X2 won't fit. I'm at least sure enough that I would be willing to tell you it's a bad idea to purchase one for the frame. Doing a bit more digging just now - I can't find a picture of a trunnion mount Float X2. This frame requires a trunnion mount shock - so I think that's a double whammy. I'm pretty sure that the external reservoir would interfere, and it doesn't come in the right mount configuration.

Even if mounted with the remote reservoir out of the little frame pocket - it looks like the shock body would either interfere or be very tight (see stephanB's "modified" bomber shock. . .)

In other news - Wendy tells me that they may be finishing up my frame in 15-20 days, so hopefully I'll get a frame for myself soon. I have a DPX2 already for it.

I actually think a Float X2 may after seeing how Stefan grinded his coil shock.
The trunnion mount of a float X2 is near the stanchion which is where grinding is needed for a coil shock. The stanchion is obviously smaller in diameter vs the coil so that part should be OK.
Problem is that the X2 air can measures up to 50mm diameter which is a bit bigger than say a fox SLS coil spring.

I asked about this issue before ordering and if they had fixed this problem and John responded "Yes, we have improve this issue after get feedback from customer..."
No details on how or what they did.  If anyone receives one shortly, I'm curious myself on what was done.  Sounds like I won't see mine for another month or so.
