I looked into this, actually doesn't seem like too difficult of a repair. But there's no kits in Canada that are cheap. The Amazon ones are 100+, and I checked to buy the items individually and it'd be 150ish.

But Wendy @lightcarbon sent me an invoice for a new front triangle for $432 shipped. Pretty tempted to just go with that. Little bit more expensive but then I won't ever be concerned about it. Plus a downtube protector haha.
Just buy epoxy resin+hardener kit and 3k carbon sheet.
They are wildly available worldwide.

For the person who put the coil shock in their frame, can you post more photos of your coil shock mount?

I’ve actually seen another one of these out in the wild with a could. I believe it was a  Marzocchi Bomber and fit fine.

To get ok clearance with the Marzocchi Bomber CR i did a small modification on the coil and damper. I grinded of about 3 mm on the backside and now its all clear

The bomber does not fit fine according to Stefan's experiences. Unless there's a different version of it.

You’re right, it was an older model. The new ones indeed do not.

Can someone compare the ride character of this bike to a Trek Slash?

I'm considering building one of these up with a high spec OR buying a new Trek Slash 8

The benefit of the LC is that it'll weight 13.3kg when I'm done.

I live in China, so I'm already saving on the frame without delivery fees

I can only compare it to the Remedy (similar enough) and it’s just as good. My frame has been bulletproof, only thing I’ve broken is components (that I went cheap on) … at the end of the day go with your heart

Just got my frame and everything looks good exept the hole for the rear axle is a very sloppy fit. 12.7mm is what i measured.
Anyone else notice the same?

Thanks! That sounds good.

What issues can expect when building the frame? or do most things fit together quite well?

But the real question, to build or to buy....??

Have you tried installing it with a wheel? It looks normal from what I can tell. I can pull my wheel and measure mine as well.

You shouldn’t expect any issues unless you’ve never built a bike then it’ll be personal experience lol. I only got hung up on cable routing but even that wasn’t horrible to manage. The big thing as all the others mention is the seat post insert length. You really need to buy a OneUp dropper for this frame. Unless your super tall with long legs.

As for build vs buy, depends on you. I like the reward of building something myself, being able to spec what components I want, and having something a little different than everyone else on the trail.
