Chromoly road frames?

I am looking for chromoly frames to build up a road bike that can take wide tires and mid-reach calipers, something along the lines of the All City Mr. Pink or Soma ES. I have some Derby RC 22i wheels that are 29mm wide on the outside, so there needs to be clearance for these wide rims and 28c tires. I have come across Tsunami, but not sure what else is out there for a quality company to deal with to ship to the USA.

I've been looking at Tsunami's road bikes and would be keen to know if anyone has had any experience with them.

I just bought the Tsunami/Seaboard CR01. Their latest 2021 version of their road bike.

I've personally saw a Tsunami Seaboard (raw version) last 2019 and I have to say I really wanted to buy it. The only reasons that stopped me was they didn't have my size and I was in the middle of a business trip. Although I have to say I wasn't privy with the components as I wanted to convert it to an SS.

I've been eyeing this on off for a while. I think it looks awesome! Had to sell another bike but super excited to finally put this one together.

So far I've ordered / got:
- The frame obviously (on its way)
- Elite ENT clincher wheels (on their way)
- 105 mini group (SS) (on its way)
- Generic carbon saddle (already in my shed)
- 40cm Aluminium bars (already in my shed)

I'm aiming for a sub-8kg build. My current estimate is at just under 8kg so we'll see once all the parts start to arrive and I realise I've left off a few bits and pieces.

Hey guys,

The frame finally arrived. Took about 6 weeks to get to Australia. Here's a few photos from unboxing.

Initial impressions are awesome. The welds are all spot on, the finish is great and the frame feels light (1711g on the scales - a touch heavier than the 1,690 claimed)

The frameset came with a headset, seatpost clamp and FD clamp.

Any particular photos you'd like me to take and post up?

Can it stay in its metallic finish?
That could be a great base for a SS for one of my sons.

It looks like it's got a clear coat on the outside. I'm going to treat it with frame saver or lanolin oil https://www.bunnings.com.au/wd-40-specialist-300g-rust-prevention-lanolin-lubricant_p0019345 before I build it.

I've also ordered some frame saver stickers to prevent it from being rubbed off.

Until then, it's staying safely on the couch!
