ICAN P9 build

Hi guys, gonna start a thread on here for my p9 build, hopefully have it finished in around a month. Its taking me a while to get the parts together as I want to do a high end build with it. I've gone with a 180mm fork up front as availability of 170mm was non existent at time of ordering, hopefully wont destroy the feel of the bike but i can always reduce it.

Frame - ICAN p9 custom blue paint
Wheels - ICAN 40mm wide carbon rims with novatech 902b hubs
Fork - 2021 rockshox lyrik ultimate 29er 180mm 42mm offset
Shock - EXT storia 210x55 with both a 550lbs + 575lbs spring
Groupset - Shimano XTR 12sp shifter + derailleur and hopefully the cranks if I can find them, i'll use XT for the cassette.
Brakeset - Hope v4s
Headset - Chris king dropset in silver
Bottom bracket - Chris king threadfit in silver
Rotors - Magura MDR-P, F=220 R=200, ti brake bolts in silver
Adapters - alixpress job
Seatpost collar - hope 35mm silver
Handlebar - Oneup carbon 35mm bar @ 800mm
Stem - Oneup 35mm stem
Grips - Ergon GE1 Evo Factory
Tools - Oneup EDC stash tool in steerer
Bash guard - oneup
Tyres - WTB verdict wet 2.5 front, WTB judge 2.4 rear
Frame protection - Full custom invisiwrap (not installed by me) on frame and rear rim

Thats all I've currently got but I am hoping to finish it off with:
Cranks - XTR m9100
Cassette - XT 10-51 12sp
Chain - XTR
Dropper - SRAM AXS 170mm (got a magura vyron 150mm instead)
Pedals - Oneup alu pedals in silver
Saddle - Ergon Sm Enduro in oil slick

Hopefully it all works out I will attach a few pictures of what I currently have.

Dang, that's a nicely spec'ed bike. This corona boom really messed up parts availability, hope you can find everything you need.

Debating tyre inserts as well, would really love to try the archer components D1x Trail wireless shifting system with the xtr mech.

Has there been any p9 frame failures BTW, just to keep an eye out.

Nearly finished my build now, changed the Axs dropper for a magura vyron but I've gotten everything else I hoped I would

Only issue I'm having is some play in the rear somewhere, I'm nearly sure its the bushings or hardware for the shock as that's where I can feel it the most. Anyone had issues with using the little adapters that come with the frame and 22x8mm top and bottom? Saw a video of someone just using 30x8 top and 25.4x8 bottom so might give that a go.

Don't think its the frame bearings as I inspected, removed the dust seals and regreased them all, and they looked perfect.

After ordering some 1 degree offset bushings (30x8, 25.4x8) after removing my shock and finding the existing lower bushing to be very loose, I could easily push it in and out of the eyelet. I take it they are meant to be a tight fit? Would this have given me the issue with play?

I figure my HA will be somewhere around 64 with the longer fork and offset bushings (which will lower bb height as well). And then I can artificially steepen the SA by pushing my saddle forward on top of the vyron having a more forward clamp than most any other seat post.

Seat post is after arriving, must say I am impressed with the vyron, looks like a quality piece of equipment, makes a lovely electronic actuation noise as well.

Only thing left is chain and pedals.

Bike is so good downhill especially with a coil! only thing I was unsure about with the p9 was the fork offet. There was 2 documents with different offset though you'll enjoy the bike regardless.

I got a 2021 lyrik ultimate with 42mm offset, I take it the smaller offset will make the wheelbase slightly shorter and easier to turn in to corners.

Sounds good! I was on a 51 offset and if I went with the 42, it would've help with the corners.

I pulled the trigger on the P9 aswell with custom paint. How was the paint quality they did?

Yeah was quite good, I'd imagine it could get damaged/scaped off quite easy, I put a full heavy duty inviswrap on the frame to try and keep it good.

final parts on the way, had to get an xtr chain as i couldn't find any xt 12 speed chains available, and some grey/silver oneup alu pedals
