Happy Holidays!
Happy you guys like the frame, thanks for supporting, the full bicycle picture would be appreciated, thanks.
Do you need me to email it to you? Feel free to use one from this thread
Looks nice! How do you prevent pedal strikes when using the smaller wheels in a 29er frame?
Hi, I am also building a bike with 27.5 wheels.. can you please let me know what was the offset for the fork ?
The fork offset is 44mm
Thanks a lot.. Couple more more questions, just confirming that the dropper post which I can fit on this frame ( size small ) is 150mm insertion depth and 31.6 dia.. ( looking to get the one up dropper ) http://snpy.in/Wt0xF1Is this a good fork for the bike ? https://www.jensonusa.com/Marzocchi-Bomber-Z2-275-Fork-4Trying to not get very high end as building for my kid who will use it for 3-4 years and then i will need to upgrade to a bigger frame..
The dropper seems fine, but that fork is probably too short for a 27.5 831 build.I’m thinking about experimenting with a mixed-wheel build for the bigger tire clearance (and maybe the handling) when I get an 831 frame, and even with the 29in front wheel I don’t think I’d be happy with less than a 170 fork. Ground clearance will probably be a big issue with even a mixed wheel build but definitely a 27.5 only, and the longest travel version of the Z2 available there is 150mm, which is under-forking compared to the 160 recommended. That’s gonna be really low.
