Road Bike Disc rotor recommendation aliexpress.

Hi Chinerstown !

     I am still on my components buy phase.   and now
I am looking for disc brake rotor for my build. 
I have a Ultegra group but without  the rotor, obviously.

I like to have center lock toror , 10mm front and 140mm on the back   .

So my questions are :
1 -  is this  configuration good,  140 back and 160mm front .
2 -  Do you have a seller or brand you recommend on Aliexpress ?

1) I tried 140/140 for a while, for emergency braking the front is a little short.
Even with my 68kg, a 160mm is a must for me now.
Even with the weight penalty

2) Deckas makes good and colorful floating rotors, I've been using them on my gravel for a year or two.
However they are only ISO( 6 bolts ), and you would need a CL adapter.
Thus adding an interface, with its potential issues.

Since you are talking about an Ultegra build, I assume you 're talking about a road bike set-up?
1) 160 front / 140 rear is sufficient. With 75kg, I never had the feeling I needed more braking power at the rear. Not in races and not at hilly/mountainous terrain. But, and that brings me to point 2, opt for good rotor's and not those flyweight rotor's where more than half of the brake surface has been cut off.
2) Try to search for rotor's on Ali that have a similar profile as SRAM Centerline and or Cleansweep rotors.  They are as good as the original ones.

 What do you think of the Shimano  rotor  RT34 ,  RT-30  ,  RT-54  , 

I saw them on aliexpress for very cheap, around 10-20 $

are they good  recommend  not noisy with good braking efficiency ?

I have 180mm SM-RT54 rotors on my mountain bike and I'm happy with them. They've been quiet and have enough stopping power. (I don't do anything too crazy, but I am 95 kg...) I've been running resin pads, and I rarely ride in wet or damp conditions, so I can't speak to the noise when wet.


I've had similar experiences with the SM-RT10s (180/160 mm) that were originally on that bike as well as the SM-RT70s (160 mm) on my road bike.
