They look great, do they all come with glueless patches now? Although I'm a little sad they replaced the metal pink caps with the generic black plastic ones... I must have 10 of these from old inner tubes already. I'm gonna pick up some gravel tubes (I run tubeless, they're just emergencies) and hopefully report back.

I'd just order a set of glueless patches from either AliExpress or from your local online dealer like Amazon. I find tears in TPU doesn't stretch so once properly patched they hold in place. I also miss the pink caps. I still use the pink ones because they're more visible if you drop them on the ground.

I was thinking of order some RideNow tubes for my gravel bike as well, but I still have a few wide profile latex tubes laying around that I carry in the saddle bag.

I tried using Park Tool glueless patches on the RideNow TPU tubes before and they didn't work. It sounds like RideNow is going to start including their own glueless patches with tubes in the near future though. In the meantime, I ordered some glueless patches that should work with TPU tubes specifically from AliExpress.

Not AliExpress, but US Amazon. A seller appears to be liquidating carbon components such as stems and seat posts for about the going rate on AliExpress. I've been wanting to try a 17 degree stem and the carbon stem looks kinda cool. There's no real weight savings over 6061 alloy. Maybe there's a bit more dampening, but it is barely noticeable. Seems to work just fine. 3.5-4nm is sufficient for bolt torque as well.

Update: I just took my bike on some pretty rough fire roads and the dampening is much more noticeable with the carbon stem. This is in conjunction with carbon drop bars.

Looks like Framed now has a a carbon road frame avaible. I got the CFR696/Basswood frame in the mail on Friday, looks great. Shipping was $30 and tax was another $30. The road frame is the Mallorca, $320 after discount, more astute members will likely be able to identify the open moid parent. Currently avialable in sizes 54, 56,and 58.

Mine is still in transit. What all accessories it came with? Did they include headset, TAs, extra derailleur hangars?

None of that unfortunately, I wasn't expecting it either though. I've ordered all of those parts from Ali. Went with an el cheapo ZTTO headset for the time being. Money is tight and I'll need more funds to complete the build.

Good to know. I also ordered cheap headset and thru axles but from ebay. Kept coming across ZTTO headset on Aliexpress but delivery times are too much so bit the bullet on this FSA one - https://www.ebay.com/itm/203095473778

I also assume BB is BSA? I read that 696 can come in pf, bsa, t47. One comment on Framed website said it's BSA. Assuming that ordered a Shimano threaded BB. But in the excitement I ordered mountain BB instead of road lol I feel it won't be a big problem. Will see.

Yes, BSA BB. I was expecting as much but wasn't sure until I received it. Fortunately, that's my preference as I wanted to get some use out of the nice White Industries VBC square taper cranks and Phil Wood BB I have.

I have the top half of an FSA takeoff headset. I got a nice Wolf Tooth premium top headset a couple of years ago for Christmas for my MTB. If I buy a nice lower bearing for my MTB I'll put the complete FSA headset on the Bassowod frame.

On another note, the frame finish is great but that Framed log is fugly. I'm working on making a set of Huffy logos to cover it. Background will be sparky gold and logo will be sparkly silver. I'd like a Huffy head badge logo to but legit ones are $20-30 on eBay so I don't know if it's worth it.

Yeah that logo is too big and too bright. If I can take it off I'll do it. I also had green, golden theme in mind! Got golden stem cap, screws, seat post clamp etc. My hands are itching to start this build ASAP.

Quoting my own post. The Basswood frame is here. Some observations. It came in laughably humongous box. A box that could easily accommodate another frame and a may be a set of wheels or two. And it came in laughably little packaging material. I'm sure that frame has bounced all over in the box during transit. The fork too came wrapped in thin plastic sheet with just the drop-out having a foam piece on it. Spent quite some time inspecting it and things look okay. The paint is stunning. The flat mounts, bb shell, fork steerer are impeccably smooth and no loose fibers anywhere. Compared to VB frame, I must agree it's really better finished. The BB shell is good ol' BSA making me immensely happy. Oh and cable guides all over. Looks like it's going to be a smooth build.

Edit, I have a feeling this should fit 696 -

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqGQXl2

Sent a message to seller if it will fit 696 and he was unsure. He sent me a photo with measurements and asked to check the hangar on my frame. Bottom line, yes its the right one for 696. Considering how popular 696 mold is, I am surprised https://derailleurhanger.com/ does not list it.

I'm starting to see Shimano Di2 105 groupsets dropping on AliEx and also LTwoo ERX. The prices are fairly close, so I'd rather get Di2 if I was in the market to go electronic.

Is this guaranteed genuine? Cheapest historical prices on european sites is 1150€ for the full groupset I believe. This only lacks the drivetrain which can be had for ~230€. Pretty big discount, sounds too good to be true
