I only see these aliexpress.com/item/32825340170.html at 530€ shipped without chainrings, I can get rotor crankset for cheaper. That's pretty bad when 105 with 4iiii is 300€ and not much heavier around 730g
Magene P505 and Zrace RX are also both more expensive and i've heard bad things about both (cranksets, not PM itself)
Such a shame how uncompetitive the chinese are for midrange cranksets imo. It should be right up their alley with casting and milling but nobody is doing affordable, modular and not ridiculously expensive sets.

Oh wow, they've gotten much more expensive. When I bought mine two years ago, I paid 75 percent what it is now...

TidyDinosaur

I got the crank for 110 and the PM for 220. So it might be different at current prices yeah....

Stick to Shimano. It's not even a contest when it comes to expensive drive train components on Aliexpress vs Shimano or SRAM including rest of the groupset but at least the groups are much cheaper. These cranks are really expensive. One more expensive option I remember seeing is something called Eillely or such weird name and Cybrei.

Saying trust shimano and sram after shimano got sued because they knew they had a dangerously flawed crank design and lied about it for 10 years and the wonder that was gxp is certainly an opinion

It might have helped before jumping the gun. OP is talking about Shimano 105. Anyhoo yes I still prefer Ultegra/DA over whatever Chinese equivalent regardless of that recall. But to think that overpriced Chiner cranks are to be trusted over Shimano or SRAM? lol.

What about the Sigeyi Axo and their rebranded Fovno Aurora Pro?

that's still $460 before shipping and over 700g (estimate, no weight on the rings) and not compatible with R7150 front mech (why?)
I'm all for trying out exotic gear but when trusty 105 (which you can trust, only ultegra and DA had issues) with a western brand powermeter comes out cheaper and lighter, it sounds like a pretty bad deal with those prices

Single sided crank pm vs pm from the company that makes all of wahoo's pm hardware

What are the highest quality light 11s (for Shimano) road cassettes at the moment? Preferably 11-34.  If not, 11-32.  Preferably steel monoblock.  It looks like SRoad have discontinued their road 11s ... as there are just a few SKUs left on AliX with very little stock.

I believe SROAD was renamed to SPEDAO - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806215654995.html and is available abundantly now.

Highest quality? Not sure. But my anecdotal experience with Wuzei SL cassettes has been excellent. Their 11-32 weighs 225 grams on my scale. Have variations of it on different bikes and definitely better shifting compared to super cheap and heavy Sunshine cassettes. I just got a couple to keep it in reserve during current sale.

Even more expensive with fancier colors is Riro - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806294879687.html. I remember someone else was talking about these cassettes a while ago. May be worth checking but price is somewhat prohibitive for just doing experiment.

Goldix, Ztto and a few others have another style cassette similar to the Spedao/SRoad cassettes, but with sturdier rear spider, torx screws and thicker bracket. The Spedao cassettes have been known to crack by the riveted bracket after extended use. This one is also all-steel. I’m a bit hesitant going with some of these AliEx mixed alloy/steel cassette mainly because I do quite a bit of climbing and those alloy teeth tend to wear faster.

Interesting ... the SRoad ones were much more durable than the ZTTO ones last time I looked, but the Goldix / ZTTO looks to have changed design since then.  I'm assuming the Riro alu ones will fall apart if you weigh more than 45kg and do over 250W out of the saddle at low cadence?

Yes! AEUS120 and AEUS65 (for USA) added later in the sale. That 120 off is pretty sweet!

I saw these added coupons, but by this time, I already purchased the items I wanted that were on my list, so no more interest in the sales.
