I’ve tried Lubi and Spexcel. Lubi stuff ran small. Good quality kit for the price.
Always look at reviews, especially the ones with photos to see if it actually is like the ad photos depict.

These Darevie shorts are the best I tried so far, even for very long distances: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001622154194.html
I'm a fan of Spexcel, but after some poor experience with shorts, just the jerseys and jackets.

How's the crotch and side padding? I'm looking for some bibs that are better suited for long rides. Right now I've been using mostly Adidas cycling gear, but mainly for looks, the quality is decent and they're constantly running online discounts and coupon codes.

I would say the Darevie shorts are okay - a 6/10. The main issue in my view are the leg grippers (too wide, so they flap around unless pulled up). The pad is thin, but relatively comfortable - wouldn't be my first choice for a huge day out but still feature in regular rotation. Material is reasonably thin but nothing unexpected amongst cheaper shorts.

Positives: good fit (besides the leg grippers), outstanding straps (flat, wide, stretchy, A+ for that), nice rich colour that has held up well.

I bought mine in December 2020, so I don't know if they've changed the product since then.

The best I have tried are Swiftofo, but their prices have gone way up recently.

I've tried X-Tiger and Souke, which are quite mediocre, although the X-Tiger Thermal set is actually quite warm
Spexcel, so far, has done right by me and is my current go-to for affordable kit.

Giving these guys a shot right now.  Not exactly in the AliX price range though.  Wanted to see how a premium brand targeting only the domestic Chinese market fares compared to the budget stuff sold to the international market on AliX.
Most of the stuff I got from them is Summer kit, so real telling how they are until next year.  Will put in some trainer miles on them though....

I only use Raudax bibs (there's a few others that sell the same ones, Sedrick are identical) https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801481928790.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.6c9e1802H2Bqjx&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US

The pad works well for me and they have a longer inseam than some of the other Aliexpress shorts/bibs I've tried.  Their jerseys are really nice as well.

I have purchased 5 pairs of riding shorts that use the "19D" chamois insets.  I can't use 2 of the shorts for rides longer than about 30 miles because of how the chamois is sewn into the shorts.  These 2 shorts dig into my skin where they are sewn in and rub that area raw.   The other 3 pairs with the exact same chamois are great and I have used them for 100+ mile rides without any comfort issues.

Tried a pair of Monton bibs after patliean's video about their clothing, a bit more expensive than aliexpress but much cheaper than Rapha at a similar quality.

@1Sigma Interested in that slipstream brand lemme know how you like them.

Adding my 2 cents on Spexcel.

There Jerseys are quite good for the price and I would recommend them.

I bought a few of their Pro Bibs and the fit is not exactly the same from one to another and the chamois pad of one of the Bibs dislodged itself after a few months in my rotation which means maybe 10-15 uses? so I would not recommend these.

I tried Chinese jerseys this way and that.
Darevie and Spexcel are up there in terms of features.

Swiftofo's bibs are a bit more expensive than these, but are the best quality so far.
The hem is a little long and the sunburn is noticeable when wearing other (shorter) bibs, lol.

Their sizing chart is a bit off.
Did you use your usual size?

I have found it is better to measure your existing clothing that fits and then use the tables with the dimensions that the seller provides to compare. Do not just go by sizes alone...
