I ordered a front end cap for my Ryet wheelset, shipped 2/22 and delivered to California at like 8am on 2/25. Crazy fast, even with free shipping. Bad news is they sent me the wrong part.  ;D

Here are some stats I have been tracking.

1. USPS publishes that regular mail should take 5 business days to be delivered.  -  In my neck of the woods in Montana, domestic mail is delivered in 8 to 11 business days.
2.  Tracking my packages:  Shipments from China to US Customs almost always takes 3-4 days.   Customs 1 to 2 days.  Once they are state-side, Individual orders are taking another 8 to 14 business days.
3. Pick3 and Choice packages are taking 7 to 10 business days.
4. Electronic items and items that are not cycling related are being delivered 2-3 days faster than bike part orders.

As I see it.  China kicks butt on their end, and USPS is the bottleneck.  USPS sends all my packages through at least 3 sorting centers. This adds 2 to 5 days to the total delivery time.

My daughter ordered a few AliEx items from no-name sellers, which then triggered combine shipping for something I ordered. Now the combined package is sitting in USPS limbo. I already had four other Choice and Pick 3 orders delivered through AliEx's private courier which seems (for now) exclusive to the SoCal area. Yet for some reason USPS can deliver tons of junk mail shipped on-time that goes straight into my recycle bin!

Venting again.   It appears that Aliexpress has changed their shipping details.  I used to see my order's shipping progress all the way to when the item was delivered. Now I see Aliexpress tracking my items until they they depart customs, then they list a shipping number.  I plug these numbers into USPS tracking, and 1/2 the time USPS says the number is not valid, the other half it says the number is registered in the system, but no information is available.  For the past month, all my orders shipping progress is no longer visible or available.

Today,  my wife received 4 notifications from USPS that items are out for delivery.  I input these numbers into USPS tracking and there is no shipping details available. then I was able to match up these numbers with Aliexpress shipping numbers, and it appears that these are 4 of my ordered items.

On top of this, I ordered a Flyweight carbon rim, on March 18th, that had guaranteed 12 day delivery.  A month+ has passed. I asked the seller if they could tell me where the rim is.  Their answer was: "It has been shipped.  Be patient".   The only tracking information I have is that it shipped April 1st. No tracking number listed.  I filed for a refund and the seller has rejected the claim stating the item has been shipped.   Now I have to wait the complete period of time before Aliexpress will approve the refund and admit that the item is lost.

To add insult, In the past 6 weeks, I had 5 orders that went past the guaranteed delivery, and I was supposedly given the "One Dollar off" coupons.  Aliexpress lists me as receiving the coupons, but when I've tried to use them, nothing happens and my app locks up.  After about 2 weeks, I can no longer find them.   Something is messed up with their software, or they have figured out a way to not let me use the one dollar off coupons.

EDIT:  May 1st - Aliexpress closed my order for the Fiberin Flyweight and started the refund process.  I have one of these rims and like it. I wanted another but  no longer trust the Fiberlin store because of their lack of communication and that they never provided me with a good tracking number.  Makes me wonder if they ever actually shipped the order.

Looks like there's a new shipping partner for Aliex in the USA. My last 2 packages came via a courier company called Uniexpress - about 8 days from shipping date to WA.

Two weeks ago I put in an order for 5 items. 4 were "Choice" and one was not. The choice items never shipped and the transactions closed and I promptly was refunded. Three different vendors for the choice items.
Anyone had this happen before?

Some more observations on this. During the mega choice day earlier this month, I ordered bunch of Choice items (Uno stem, 1x Chainring and couple of other items) on 1st Nov. All those were delivered to my doorstep on 6th, before the Choice day even got over. So 5 days in total. This is now getting to the levels of Amazon Prime which usually takes 3 days unless you get 1 day shipping eligible items - but you pay so much on Amazon. I reckon people in CA must be getting their items in 4 days flat via UniUni.

I'm in the US and most of my items arrive in 10days or so. I always order small to med size items, nothing as large as a wheelset or bike frame yet. Occasionally something gets held up on their end or by USPS and takes an extra couple of days, so maybe a full 2 weeks to get to me occasionally. In fact, I just had a package that inexplicably was tossed around my state by USPS. It came to my regional sorting center, then was inexplicably sent to a completely different regional sorting center instead of to my local post office. It then kept getting sent out and sent back to that same one for about 2 days. Finally, it made it to my local usps and is out for delivery today, lol. Every now and again I find something goofy like this happens.

I don't think I've had anything take longer than 2weeks (plus or minus a couple of days).

Just pulled the trigger on a bxt frame and got this message.

“I checked the order, you chose AliExpress Standard Shipping,
the shipping time is 45-60 days,
usually it is recommended to send UPS/Fedex, 5-10 days to arrive,
the shipping is very safe and fast.
Need to upgrade to UPS/Fedex?
Waiting for your reply.”

The listing says free shipping by Jan 30th. Is this a scam or a case of bait and switch with shipping?

I don't know but beware because there are some taxes with UPS/FedEx (depends on where you live).

**I'm in the USA.**

I bought a frame on Aliexpress which shipped on 12/9 and it is still "in transit" with no real tracking updates since 12/10.  No joke!  I have no idea if my frame is sitting at an airport warehouse awaiting a flight, or somewhere in the middle of an ocean on a ship. Maybe it's at port, waiting to be unloaded.  Maybe it's been run over by a forklift and is in a million pieces.  (Don't expect that kind of entry in the tracking info.)  It's even unclear per the tracking, if it's even left China at all!  In short, the situation sucks.

I paid my seller $133 for shipping - for this level of service!?!  My seller told me 20 - 30 days in transit, and I'm almost at 30 days now with no end in sight.  I wish my seller had told me 45 - 60 days.  At least I'd have a clue about when to start waiting by my mailbox.

In contrast, I bought a groupset on Ali on 11/11 sale, with free shipping, which shipped via UPS Expedited and only spent 4 days in transit.  I bought a wheelset from PeterXu and it shipped FedEx: again, four days in transit.  I had zero worries if FedEx or UPS was going to deliver.

So, if you have the ability to upgrade your shipping [for reasonable cost] DO IT.  You don't want to be in my cleats, trust me.

Oh man. That’s awful. I’m in no rush for the build, but less time in transit probably means less chance of it getting damaged. Might have to do the upgrade.

From which vendor did you buy the frame? I'd confirm with the vendor that the frame indeed shipped out. I always ask them to send me photos before shipping, just so I know there's an actual product. Did you pay for expedited shipping or did you just pay the included shipping cost? If it's taken this long, they probably shipped it via China Parcel. I'm sure you'll get it soon. If you needed the frameset ASAP, I would have told them that beforehand.

I bought my frameset from First Class Carbon.  The seller sent me lots of pics before shipping and I believe they shipped the frame.  I naively assumed that since I was paying good money for shipping, and that since it is a relatively high-value item, the seller would naturally use expedited shipping - I did not think to ask for expedited shipping until it was too late.

In short, you're correct - I should have negotiated legit shipping upfront.  I may be an AliX newbie, but all my previous transactions have gone pretty smoothly until this transaction.  And I don't really blame the seller - it's really AliX shipping that's the problem.  This might be an East vs West consumer expectation problem too.  I just want my frameset before the new/old administration takes over!

When it comes to framesets and wheelsets, I always allot at least a month for delivery to the US. It's best to forget that you ordered it and be pleasantly surprised when it arrives! Plus if purchased through AliExpress you'll at least have some buyer protection if you need to file a dispute. I've purchased two framesets within the last two months and both have arrived in perfect condition (one with China Parcel via USPS and the other FedEx). I wouldn't worry too much, you also bought during the peak holiday season so that probably slowed shipping as well.
