Couldn't get the yoke to align with the rear bolt?
I was looking at options on ali-there are a few for Cervelo and F12 seatposts that use a flat carbon plate on the upper surface, was going to order one and try to modify it.

Hey glepore

First, you’ll need an M5 barrel nut for the front.
since the yokes have internal threads—this is fine for the rear, but the front yoke needs to be unthreaded so the bolt can pass through and tighten into the barrel nut. I’ll look into ordering a suitable M5 barrel nut, and filing out the threads on the front yoke should do the trick.

Yeah. I have the front bolt in ti. Thinking I'll just drill out the yoke to suit, assuming its long enough...

Well I might order another M5 bolts.
The standard one is M6 is 35mm so might get a Another M5 40mm to allow for the thickness of the yoke and will need to check the outer size of the barrel nut not sure how thick that is

I finally got the seat post from TanTan. It took around 14 days to arrive, and the seat post is raw carbon with a glossy clear coat. They did say if I'm okay with it, they had it already produced, I'd say. Otherwise, by the looks of it, I would still be waiting because of the painting bottleneck. Doesn't look that bad, but I'll order a black matte one from them, and when it arrives, it arrives.

I’m actually jealous  ;D, I  like!
With me chopping down my seatpost I’m planning to order a spare anyway.

Scuff it with some 2000g, it matte down the finish...

Quick update on the build

Finished and bled the brakes — first time doing it myself, and it wasn’t too bad. Just needed a bit of patience.

Cut down the seatpost took off 35 mm while keeping the minimum 100 mm insertion length.

Stock seatpost weight: 168.4 g
Modified seatpost: 146.2 g

Going to have another go at using the lightweight yokes I ordered, but I’ve had to order an M5 titanium barrel nut to make it work.

The seatpost originally uses an M6 barrel nut at the front, so adapting it required a few changes. The front yoke threads will also need to be drilled out — if you don’t, the yoke just spins when tightening into the barrel nut, so there’s no way to get proper clamping. Drilling out the threads lets the barrel nut do its job and lock everything in place securely.

Once the M5 barrel nut arrives, I’ll see if the lightweight setup finally works as planned.

Will post an update once the rest of the parts arrive — assuming it all works as planned!
