I was going to buy a Niner seatpost but when I saw an entire carbon frame shipped for almost $300 I changed my mind...

Anyone have experience with any of these frames? Is one better than another?

I want long top tube and slack head angle.

The geo looks like the 202 frame. 69.5 ha with a 100mm fork is decent but the shortish TT and long 445 CS's aren't screaming fun trail bike if that's your poison. No experience with it though.

Agreed. 435 CS would be nice. Any thoughts on the others? I'm thinking of buying through eBay since these are all cheaper than the quotes I have gotten from Peter just want to find a slacker, short CS and longer TT.

There is this one. You might be able to get it around $400. The HA is 71 with a 495mm long fork. If you're running a SID 120 (about 525mm) you will be roughly 69.5 for a HA. If that is slack enough for you, the rest looks really good.

You're probably better off getting a Kona Honzo or a Canfield Yelli Screamy...they are not carbon...but have the geometry you are looking for.

I think this is solid advice.

I genuinely can't imagine buying an alloy frame ever again, but if you are really wanting that "all mountain" hardtail bike then the Kona or Canfield may be your best bet. They'll be more expensive than what you're looking at now though, especially the Canfield.

I think the Screamy (aluminum) is around 650, double the cost of the eBay frame...but it is what you are looking for...and it can legitimately run a 140mm fork.

The EPO is one good looking frame.

This is the way I look at the aluminum frame. It can cosmetically take more of a beating than the carbon frame. My Mach 5 is pretty hammered. The paint is all scraped up. The places I ride that thing...I'll pretty much never take my Chiner to. I've crashed hard enough to fling me and the bike off the trail. I remember the time where the downtube of my Mach was was grinding against a big rock as I was trying not to slide down the side of the trail. It seems to hurt less when stuff like that happens to an aluminum frame.

Lol...there's actually one right under our noses. The Workswell 078. Its got a slack HTA, relatively long reach, short CS length, and can take + sized tires. Unfortunately I don't think it'll be $300.

Haha...yes...that one. It recently popped up on their site. Its only a drawing though. I haven't seen any actual pics.

Here it is on eBay. No physical pics of the frame though. I'd be skeptical on buying a frame based off a drawing.

So I'm going to have to compromise on the gel I want I guess. Of the $300 shipped frames does anyone know which has the slickest HA and the longest TT? I'm guessing the 202? With my 120mm for should be right about 68.5.
