Best BB for Shimano 1x11 XTR in a 098 frame

Hi Guys.
I will build a 098 full suspension bike, and I will mount a 1x11 XTR groupset.
What kind of BB should I pick (BSA/BB30/PF30)?
I would like the lightest possible solution.

I think PF is the lightest... But I would prefer BSA, less chance to get anoying noises and easier to service.

Once you get the hang of it, PF30/BB30 bearings are easy to replace and cheap.
A DIY press, made from an M12 bolt and large washers, is all you need.

I'm not sure BSA fare better with the mud.
My friends need to replace them regularly too.

Never had any problems with my threaded BSA BB, it's the most universal of bottom brackets in that everyone makes adapters for various cranks to work with BSA.  Bearings are external so maybe mud would cause them to wear out faster but they are very easy to service or replace.

All bottom bracket designs suck by nature of where they are and what they're asked to do. BSA is old faithful and despite many attempts to improve on it, it's still around and still a viable option. I've got PF30 in my current bike and I'm several months in with zero complaints so far, including rides in rain and mud - and snow today! I haven't had experience with BB30, but when I was looking at getting a Chiner I did quite a bit of research and there's a vocal number of folks out there who seem to personally hate it for some reason, but from everything else I've seen, it's a viable alternative as long as you take proper care of it - just like the other two.

+1 to this. Given a choice, go BSA and the new XT. Given a choice and a fat wallet, go BSA and a Chris King....you'll never need to replace it if you maintain it.

My vote is for BSA with a Sram GXP bottom bracket and crankset. Super easy and BB's are around $30 so they are cheap enough to replace every couple years. The cranks are installed or removed with on 8mm allen wrench. I swap cranksets between two bikes because it's easier than swapping pedals. Carbon Sram cranks are relatively light and can be found for relatively cheap. Race Face Next SL cranks are lighter but will also run about $175 to $200 more. Also with a BSA you have the most options. Unless you want to run an eccentric BB for SS use. Then PF30 or BB30 would be better.

I'd agree with BSA option. My only problem with GXP was that some time ago they tended to not be sealed very well and bearings deteriorated very quickly, but the designed was improved it seems. You can always go with alternative, like this one: http://www.aerozinebike.com/pro_4_171.html Brings some color and shaves a few grams as well.
