Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Re: Disconnecting hydraulic hoses

Traveled abroad at the start of May. Plan was to bring VB GF002 with me. Got Trek box for XL sized Madone and started dismantling the bike. I was thinking that the frame, fork, handlebar all tied together because of internal hoses will somehow fit in the box. After numerous permutations and combinations and 3 hours later I decided to call it quits. In the end I brought along rim brake SSE. The handlebar was kept in the rear triangle. Everything beautifully wrapped in foam. The GF002 is still lying in my home completely disassembled. Only a dedicated hard case will fit the carcass of full ICR bike without disconnecting hoses etc. Major pain.

I guess I'll keep my semi-ICR frames for now. I travel by air every so often with my bikes, and I can just dismantle my stem/handle bars and everything fits in the box. No need to disconnect hydraulic hoses either. If the bike is electronic, there are only 2 external hoses. So it's still quite minimalistic, but far easier to travel with.

Someone built the BXT 145. Weight and build issues in the YT comments (will need to translate).

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Magene l508 vs garmin radars

Some c606 users have reported that the bike computers are now region locked. Might be the same for other recent production devices.

I bought my L508 when it was first launched in china and it works fine with both china and international app

My dream DIY enduro build:
- 170mm travel (or more)
- High pivot (narrow-wide cogs, standard bearing size)
- Non-trunnion shock mount, preferably 230mm eye to eye (with leverage curve suitable for coil)
- Modular geometry, which means:
    - Adjustable chainstay length
    - Flip chip
    - Adjustable shock mount
    - Adjustable headset cups (both for reach adjust and stack height)
- Compatible with DH forks

That is the current version of the app, looks exactly the same but it connects to my L508 without that message.

I would contact Magene support.

There was rumour of two different versions of the L508, one built just for the Chinese market and the other for the International market. If you bought your L508 from AliExpress you might of got the Chinese version.

I did buy my from the "offical" Magene store on AliExpress, but that was 18 months ago.

Thank you, I did try contacting them via email and even their FB page but no answers so far after a week... I'm considering asking for an aliexpress refund at this point...

I did download the chinese app (wasn't easy for me) and it does connect, but then without any translation the app is completely unusable for me sadly...

I can't even use the english app, mine only connects to the chinese app, which is a bit annoying since there are no translations for anything. Is it possible there are two firmwares? Or even two hardware lights marketed for different regions and I ended up with the wrong one?
