Does anybody knows the recommended amount of sealant/latex that is needed for a 30mm hookless tubeless setup?

I think the minimum is 120 ml, but couldn't find this on the internet.

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Wrong wheel set delivered

I ordered a wheel set at a Chinese vendor (which one is not important for now):
- Carbon UD matte 30mm hookless wheel set
- with red Novatec hubs
- with red nipples
- with black spokes

It was delivered in no time (8 working days). Very quick. But I was an vacation.

But the vendor made a mistake and sent my the wheel set with black hubs and black nipples.

After research of months, I decided to build a black chiner bike with red accents.
Now the last part is in and I wanted to start building, I'm very disappointing with these wheel set. It doesn't fit my imagination of how my bike would look the looks of the bike. It looks a small issue, different colors, but for me it's big.

In this case, what should the vendor do to correct his mistake? What is reasonable?

Component Deals & Selection / Headset installation (on an IP-256)

Installing a headset on an IP-256 is simple. Although, that's what I thought.

But don't I need cups or such a thing ? I think the answer is: No.

I've got this headset from Peter (with a shim).



The way to install is, is like in the way on the picture. And do I need to use carbon paste (between the bearing and the frame) ?
And do I need to use shim(s) between the bottom bearing and frame ?

After The Ride / How to post a picture

There are several ways to post a picture.

This guide is based on the online picture hosting of http://postimage.org

- Got to: http://postimage.org (in a new window)
- (1) Browse to your picture, which is stored on you laptop/pc
- (2) Choose a correct size for your picture on the forum (it's not allways necessary to upload it in original size, sometimes the picture is way to big).
- (3) upload your picture



- (4) When it's uploaded, you can copy the url to your clipboard by clicking "copy to clipboard" (easy, isn't it?). Now you see the word "Copied"!" in your screen, which indicated that the picture url now is on/in your clipboard.



- (5) Go back to you forum message and click the image icon. Now you see [ img ][ /img ] into your message field and in the middle your cursor is blinking.



- (6) Now press CTRL-v to paste your picture-url from your clipboard to the position of your cursor in the message field.



- Now when you save your forum message or look to the preview, you will see the image into your message.

29er / IP-256SL by MTB2223

Hi All,

it's time to share my experience of building a mtb with as basis a IP-256SL. I try to keep this topic up to date.

I ordered my frame in April at Peter from XMIPlay. Because of production problems, the frame had a (big) delay. I didn't mind, because I'm not in a hurry.
The frame arrived last Friday in the Netherlands and is now waiting for customs inspection.  >:(

I was looking for a white fork with a crownloc, but couldn't find one. I don't want a push/poploc system, so that would a no-go. So, I'm going for a black one.

Let start with my buildlist. All the weights are found on the internet. I'll weight them, when I've got all the parts.

I want to put a design on my UD matte frame when it arrives. And Plasti Dip looks very nice.
