Today I finished up a ride and I was cleaning my ER9 bike when it fell on the drive side knocking the rear derailleur. It was enough of an impact to bend the derailleur hanger and threw off my RD fine-tuning adjustments. I had to realign the hanger and then redo my my gear fine tuning. Luckily I was able to get everything back in working order.

I'm at about 13,600 shifts with the ER9. Issues I've encountered so far is jamming the chain into the cassette (dumping too many gears without pedaling) and dropping the bike on the RD (throwing off indexing). Both issues fixed. Batteries are still in working order and front/rear derailleurs shifting properly. Let's see how long my ER9 will last!  ;D

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Velobuild Quality Control

I bought the 168 2 years ago and it’s impeccable. I bought the GF002 and it too is impeccable.
I abuse my 168 on the indoor trainer and outdoors. I abused the Gf002 on a an bikepacking trip…

I believe that their quality assurance improved over time, sometimes there may be sloppiness and customer service in these cases seems mind boggling from a western perspective, I agree.

Got my first pics too! Told it will be shipping by end of the week. Fingers crossed! I think it came out pretty nice! Here’s the pics! FYI was only able to upload one at a time then had to go back and modify the post. Don’t know if that’s normal for the site.

Looks very nice!

Yes, I experienced the same issue with uploading the pictures.

Interestingly your frame doesn't have the hole for FD Cable.
Same as all the frames before  :o

Just received my light, I unfortunately cannot connect to it with the Magene Utility app, how do I update the firmware then?

Anybody else with this issue?

"This device is not compatible with the current app. Please use the corresponding app."

My app version is v1.7.1

For the Wing 20s, what spoke category are you guys using with your tensiometer? My deflection table has an entry for 'Steel Blade Spoke 1.2x1.9mm', which seems reasonably close. What gives me pause though is that, as far as I understand it, the Wings have a more diamond-shaped profile compared to traditional bladed spokes. (I don't have any hands-on experience with the Wings but should be getting some for my wheel build within the next few days.)

well,
they only respond if you order, otherwise, you are ghosted.
They basically do not care if problems occur..they fail sending me documents...we offered to translate the app to germany, no response.
They promised so many things which did not happen....
i am selling off my grt stock for low prices...if anyone wants a groupset, i will offer better than aliexpress prices including shipping, i just want to get rid of them..even mechanic groupsets work fine...

That's bad. With a beta product, you have to have an open communication with the manufacturer, otherwise it's not beta, it's just shit.
That behavior is potentially a bigger red flag than the failure rates of their groups themselves.

BTW…
Concerning customer service…
I did email wheeltop directly and they responded in less than 24hours!
just for info

29er / Re: Best/modern dc/xco hardtail?

The SP-Cycles frames are pretty inexpensive at around $350-400 delivered to the USA.  I haven't priced any other open mold hardtail frames so I can't say how they compare.  I will say that right now on Probikesupply.com you can get a DV9 for $1068.  Yeah, it still a lot more money but you get a quality frame with a lifetime warranty.  If I only needed to build up 1 bike and I liked the geometry I certainly would strongly consider paying the extra money for the Ibis.  I needed 3 hardtails and I will actually need to buy 2 more frames to migrate from size medium to large when they grow.  So it was a no brainer to go with the best/cheapest option I could find.

Idk how it is to deal with Ltwoo directly. What i do know is that dealing with my reseller is torture.
