Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame

I completely agree that some decals can completely change the look of a plain black frame. A plain frame in a single color looks unfinished or lacking, similar to a car without a badge. Therefore, I appreciate some design.

Regarding the image you linked, it seems like the white and blue stripes in the back of the frame are painted? I'm not entirely sure, but could you stretch the vinyl around such curves?

Im at around 22.000 shifts. Another ride in torrential rain the other day. Still fine. Battery life is very good. I’m on my 4th charge IIRC.

I pulled the trigger on the FE-02. Should be here in 2 weeks. I'll post up some pics when it gets here. This'll be my first full carbon bike. I'm going to put a dropper and some 29x2 tires on it.

Did 2.0 tires fit for you?  I'm wondering if 2.2s might squeeze in there.

More likely a QC issue affecting a large number of products from the same batch, even if a QC issue by an electronics supplier to Ltwoo and not necessarily by Ltwoo, itself. Also could be a possible design issue that was either solved or weaseled its way in through later design changes. Iterating the design quickly within the same model and model year could lead to all sorts of issues being fixed or un-fixed without any way for us to easily tell.

That's the problem, you don't know if you'll get a good groupset or not. Plus LTwoo seems to have a s**ty response to any issues. Maybe stress testing the groupset is necessary to tell if you have a good sample. I can have my kid spin the pedal while I shift the RD 1000 times and shift the FD 100 times! That way if it breaks, I can still return it for a refund!

Hello,
I just want to ask how to mount rear XTR postmount caliper (disk brake rotor size 160mm) to that frame? I have such a adapter https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/service-upgradeparts/shimano/ISMMAR160PDH.html but on first try it doesn't look like it fits.

Kind regards,
Wojtek

I don't know what to say, my ER9 is still working great. I use the whole gear range as well sprinting flats, hill climbing and fast descending. I rotate my 3 bikes, so it gets used every third ride. No issues with battery drain and I top off my batteries all the time. I'm almost tempted to get another groupset for my other road bike.

Maybe I'm just lucky or I'm using the right combination of batteries and app settings to keep it from imploding on itself!

Exactly this. It's one of the few known brands out there that doesn't look like everything else. Their curved shapes - you either love or hate, there is nothing between. But even the most dogged haters must admit - they are at least unique.

The UCI can go to hell for a lot of reasons. but the biggest is the standards/guidelines for race bikes. These extremely limit creativity of road bikes. its like the cafe standards in the US for cars/trucks... its the reason we have these huge trucks that are a ton more dangerous.. And so these limited styles get past down to all the other levels of bikes. pinerellos like to push design boundaries. look at a lot of the mtb designs. they get interesting. If the UCI doesnt change standards. I fear we are going to see a significate drop off of interest in road bike as a sport. I already see a drop in the number of road riders in my area.

Vittoria Corsa all the way. Except for my tubular wheels. I’m using Tufo tubs in 28mm. They can be used with sealant and plugged like tubeless tires. So they’re very convenient. And despite Tufo having a bad rep for slow and harsh tires, I found that that’s a myth of the past when people were riding 21mm tubs at 140psi (if it ever was true). If you use them at sensible pressures they’re actually quite supple and not really any slower than my Cotton Corsas. Plus Tufo’s gravel tubeless tires are hands down the best I’ve ever used. In a sensible price range at least.

Ya, I been looking at all the bike pics seems everyone is doing either the corsa or the Continental Grand Prix 5000
