Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: LTWOO eGR

So, the installation gets serious and raises another question:

I was told by the seller that the brake calipers are post-mount compatible (only in fact which I'm not sure can be true). Conveniently my V1 Cutthroat frame/fork are post mount. But the brake caliper, adapters and bolt kit seem to be sized for and include M5 bolts. Post mount is M6... Any thoughts?

BTW, the RD went on and set up pretty easy. I was a dummy and started individually calibrating before doing the macro. Duh, the instructions say to do the macro on the 7th sprocket (6th on 11s) first. It's just that the app opened on the micro adjustment page and I forgot. So when I finally figured it out, I had to repeat the cycle.

No big deal. Just follow the directions and it's easy. It also shifts nicely in the stand even up to 50t. We'll see how it works 'under fire' on the road after I sort out the brakes.

A chance to sell yourself...

Why would people want to buy from you instead of direct from Farsports with those identical specs?
I’ll explain my decision:

Farsports is on a different level price-wise. About 30% more expensive at least from what I can tell. I think Serenade should better be compared to the cheaper options, e.g from Elite Wheels. Like the Edge wheelset. I did consider that one but a) I liked the specs for these wheels better and b) I’m really not a fan of the matte black painted rims. These rims are transparent, so you can see the UD carbon.

In 2024, we provide faster delivery, the more popular models usually ship in 2-4 days, Road wheels 21mm and 24mm internal, Mountain wheels 25-28-29-31mm, and UD paintless matt always in stock.

There's also a TX-R7101-SGS derailleur mentioned there - TX is for road, but SGS is long cage. It might be that this is a wide-range 2x option.

If it's a 2x gravel electronic groupset, I'm sold. I hate 1x. I prefer riding to the trails which requires doing road miles beforehand. I find driving to a trail just to ride a bike to be incredibly lame. Probably accounts for why most of MTB'ers I see in my area are switching to e-bikes to make up for their lack of fitness!

6000 are rim brake models

GS is the tag for the current mechs

In practice GX probably simply means 1x and TX 2x

Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Re: Disconnecting hydraulic hoses

I'm curious with the hydraulic hoses on fully internal frames. On semi-internal frames you can just detach the stem/bar from the bike and pack the bar sideways next to the frame in a box.

On fully internal frames, is this not an option for travel? Do you have to detach the hoses for travel? Sounds like a big hassle if that's the case.

I ordered recently R-086 (aero one from them). Got 820 EUR quoted.
In general, I like geometry and ride feel.
However, the very very big negative for me is the seatpost slipping down. I am pretty much freaked out at any decsent.
Support from Yishun exists, but I am not really sure they can solve an issue.
I will keep you posted if I have luck.

I have an r068d as one of my Chinese frames and have never had a slip. I'm 85kg-ish. I'm using peaty's carbon paste.

That looks ace!

Is that a magene crankset too? What group set are you using?

Yup it's the Magene P325CS dual pm crankset. So far that's been great for me, might be reporting a little bit higher number at the moment but I will "eventually" get to calibrating that ;) Also using the Magene L508 radar light which has been great as well.

Groupset is 11sp Ultegra Di2 R8070 I think. L-TWOO carbon OSPW which seems to still be going, although the jockey wheels are probably done, and they are replacements too...

Inspired by sharks? The chinese are now doing meaningless bullshit marketing, they are learning so fast!
Is it 1x only?  :( No word on clearance or capacity, would be nice if you could purchase the gravel RD with road levers and FD and run something like 50-34 11-42

Looking at the model names, there will be 'GS' and 'SGS' versions of both the carbon and aluminium rear derailleurs. Clearly they're ripping off Shimano's MTB/gravel naming scheme here, where 'GS' is a medium cage and 'SGS' is a long cage.

The models listed are:
GX-RX6700-GS
GX-RX6700-SGS
GX-RX7701-GS
GX-RX7701-SGS

In Shimano's latest 12-speed GRX (for example), the GS supports up to a 10-45 cassette, and SGS is used for 10-51. Looks like a similar scheme will be used here.

There's also a TX-R7101-SGS derailleur mentioned there - TX is for road, but SGS is long cage. It might be that this is a wide-range 2x option.
