It has serials - I don't think it's a problem of identifying their own product but rather they've come the decision that the purchasing retailer/channel is who would handle warranty issues.  For my issue with the adjustment screw, the AliExpress seller was happy to deal with it, I just had to get it back to them in China.  I ended up just fixing myself.

Definately will limit acceptance outside of Asia until they can improve servicing globally. Unfortunate.    It will be a small niche of people like the ones in here willing to accept the servicing hassles that will be buying.
Yeah, especially with electronic... When you buy a Chinese mechanical group, a lot of the times you can replace the parts with Shimano or Sram when something is not right... If your Chinese electronic group fails you could be out of a bike for 6 weeks...

Well the tiny bit of play is back after a ~100km this time (a few rides)

Not sure how i can add a 0.5mm C shaped spacer to the headset. Can't it just slip out or the compression will hold it in place?

I think i will go ahead and order the Specialized design mentioned by @fabxyz on ali

This is pretty dumb. How hard is it to assign a serial # to each groupset? Their warranty process is just pure laziness. The EDS TX is already in Shimano 105 Di2 AliEx pricing territory. At least with the 105 Di2, spare parts are plentiful and quality assurance to chance buying from a reseller is much better.

Agreed. Business wise, it's akin to shooting yourself in the foot. It's even remarkably stupid. Unless ofc they actively want the west not to buy their stuff, which might be the case, after all, as China is probably big enough for them to thrive. But then they wouldn't be selling to Aliexpress vendors. So it's probably just stupid.

Nice wheels and all, but can I ask about the truing stand? Is that an AliExpress model or rather a Western product?

Good luck with your degree!

Vulcanizing Cement is what I always used to repair cuts and apply plug patches in motorcycle and automotive tires.    Clean the area really well with the companies prep chemical or rubbing alcohol works well to.  A little scuffing with some sandpaper before cleaning is good practice as well.

This is enough for 100 tires; https://a.co/d/cGj5RdF

A total noob question: What kind of software are you using to design stuff like this? Some sort of CAD-software? Is it free/open source? I’d be interested to design a storage box to mount inbetween the water bottles in the frame triangle on my TT-X38.

Yes, CAD / 3D-modeling software. Commercial products such as Fusion 360 are very slick and can do a lot of thinking for you; licenses for personal use may be available. On the opensource side, FreeCAD* has been around for a good long time but takes some getting used to, depending on how your brain works. Either way, expect a steep learning curve.

* Ondsel ES is built on top of FreeCAD and to an extent takes the sting out of FreeCAD's somewhat spartan approach.

They work fine! I double checked my gravel bike brake pads which does long descents on dirt trails and there are no deep track lines on the pads. My 2x160mm rotors are 1.6mm thick and feel quite sturdy. For someone to toast their rotors and dig tracks into their brake pads suggest to me they weighed like 130kg and had zero clue how to feather and modulate front/rear braking! There's a reason they have bigger rotors for bigger riders!

A bad design is a bad design though. Glad it's working for you, but as a fat ass myself, i dont want half of my rotor surface to be air.

+1 on the loose headset. Be careful, because that sounds like a bad case of headset play. The sort of thing that prematurely wears out a carbon steerer. If you're really heavy and really unlucky, you end up snapping the steerer, jump over the bike, and have a really bad day.
Given you're on a lightcarbon frame, it's probably user error rather than bad tolerances, so should be an easy fix once you find the issue.
