BTW what tire set up is everyone using?

Hey everyone,

I know these types of posts aren't everyone's favorite, but I could really use some help avoiding decision paralysis.

I've been riding a Triban RC520 for the past few years and have made a bunch of upgrades, like a new wheelset, changes to the bottom bracket, shorter crank arms, seat post, seat, and cassette, and switching to conti gp500 tires with cyclami TPU. Even with all these changes, the bike still feels super heavy, and I think it's time for an upgrade.

My daily training rides usually involve around 250m in elevation and cover a distance of 27km.

Any suggestions for a new frame would be greatly appreciated, feel free to also PM if that's easier. I'm definitely budget oriented, so I'd like to keep the frame under 700$. I purchased the Triban RC520 in a size medium, but given my height of 5'8", I'm between sizes, and I should've gone for the small.

Frames I've seen around these forums:
Velobuild R265
Yishun R1058/Light carbon Light carbon LCR017-D
R1058
Yishun R086D

I'm not exactly sure what to look for when searching for frames, other than weight and overall geometry, but I don't have much experience so I've just  been comparing with bike geometry/insights and they all look within range of what would work for me?

Flyxii fe 02 goes for about $400 shipped.

Basic issues like this make lc look amateurish. Brand new frame design but with no di2 port...

Hi, thanks for the reply!

The SP cycle Is completely another frame.
It look like a Canyon Aeroad.

The BXT Is a mix of a Trek and a Look...

Well I'm diving into this experiment as well and ordered a 56 size frame, bbright bb, specialized 6.5 headset bearings and compression cap. Airwolf sent a message a few days after ordering asking for stem and handlebar size and I went with 90 stem and 42 handelbar. I am 6' tall. We'll see how it fits. Thanks to all who provided tips along the way. I am going to follow them in the build process.

If you succeed building it up properly, you won't regret. I still enjoying mine  8)

For replacing the bolt you can probably get one custom made pretty easily if you provide dimensions. For the bearings It surprises me that the bearings are non replacable? Is that true?

About how much extra will the new carbon link weigh? Also what's the difference in weight across a frame that's matte black vs raw carbon? Thanks

Geo is totally different between the two though.  For me, the geo on the SP is much better.

In terms of weight, T47 BB and 32c tire clearance they're similar. I'm not too picky on geometry, I can adapt to most frames in my size range.
