Yeah I'm trying to do a full China xc build, only thing that won't be Chinese is the suntour epixon fork I ordered, but then that's from aliexpress too so who knows.

On the topic of oil slick chain rings I ordered this #Aliexpress € 15,24  27%OFF | free deliv  Fahrrad Kettenblatt rainbow 32 34 36  38t Engen Breite   Fur GXP XX1  XO CNC AL7075 Kurbel
https://a.aliexpress.com/_d7KyqWq

All my parts are beginning to trickle in, still waiting on my damn frame though, ordered through aliexpress, waiting over 2 months now

Only thing that threw me initially was that there is what looks like a Shimano style preload on the drive side, thing is it's bigger than the Shimano hollowtech one so there's no tool to tighten it. I have a feeling however it's just there for aesthetics for some reason, and I'm doubley sure after watching the installation video above.

I'm experiencing similar delays, I've a frame coming 2 months at this stage, some components as well.

I've used offset bushings before and they work.

id take it 51mm would increase the wheelbase? i like longer bikes so thats what i would probably put on it too. Think ill get one and keep my name down for the chanta cruz whenever they get finalized. As for the p9, id go with 29er wheels, then I am thinking a cane creek coil shock with a lockout and a progressive coil, put some -1 degree offset bushings in to slacken the head angle a little, then sticking a 170mm fork onto it (lyrik or 36 although i am sucker for manitou).

debating building a p9 up, do you still use it? any major issues with the frame since owning it? how have the bearings and linkage etc. held up? I am 6 foot and looking for a bike that feels big and long, how does the bike feel to you, specifically when you had 29er wheels on?

from what i can see with the frame is the exact same for the evolve alpha 29 (https://evolvebikes.ca/products/alpha-29#specs-geometry_1) and alpha 27.5 (https://evolvebikes.ca/products/alpha-27-5#specs-geometry_1). The 29er uses a 210x55 shock and the 27.5 uses a 216x63 shock, so the frame must be okay for the level of suspension, wonder would having 165mm with 29er wheels work?

I am currently in contact with Perry @ Ican about getting a custom painted (evil bikes my boy blue, Pantone 7466C Matte) p9.

29er / Re: Chinese SC/AM831 Group Buy

I just signed up to Chinertown.  I am definitely interested in groupbuy:

size:  Medium
color:  Orange
location:  California

I am new and have a question:

If I purchase this frame, I will be hiring a bike shop to assemble it for me.  Additionally, I want to spec the components to be similar to a Hightower Carbon S which is going for around $5200.  Additionally, I will purchase carbon wheelsets from lightbicycle.  Given all the components I have to purchase a le carte, and the fact that I have to hire for assembly, will there be significant savings compare to purchasing the Hightower Carbon S + lightbicycle wheelset?

Well a Santa Cruz frame is 3000 or more, this is 500 and a bit
