Anyone tried this before. Can't seem to find any review, I think they're Chinese.

Only thing that threw me initially was that there is what looks like a Shimano style preload on the drive side, thing is it's bigger than the Shimano hollowtech one so there's no tool to tighten it. I have a feeling however it's just there for aesthetics for some reason, and I'm doubley sure after watching the installation video above.

Looking forward to your review Icyseanfitz.

Here's some products pics I digged up. They also got pedals, seatpost collars & hubs but I'm looking at that oil slick crank & chainring (pics 2 & 3).

Yeah I'm trying to do a full China xc build, only thing that won't be Chinese is the suntour epixon fork I ordered, but then that's from aliexpress too so who knows.

On the topic of oil slick chain rings I ordered this #Aliexpress € 15,24  27%OFF | free deliv  Fahrrad Kettenblatt rainbow 32 34 36  38t Engen Breite   Fur GXP XX1  XO CNC AL7075 Kurbel
https://a.aliexpress.com/_d7KyqWq

All my parts are beginning to trickle in, still waiting on my damn frame though, ordered through aliexpress, waiting over 2 months now

Yes, i have one for a covid build I'm working on. It's arrived, but I don't have it mounted up yet... waiting on the frame. The quality looks great, feels well machined. I don't have a scale to weight it (yet?) but overall I'm impressed by the manufacturing on first glance.

I got a question guys. I'm not familiar with GXP system. My frames are for a BSA thread bb (English 73mm MTB & English 68mm road), mainly intended for Shimano Hollowtech & Hollowtech II. What do I need to do/get to be able to convert to GXP direct mount?

I had the same doubt and got the answer from an Aliexpress seller that posted the full documentation.

See the description for details about BB options.

Or here it is:

And this doesn't look to be GXP by default. It is 24mm all along.
GXP has a 22mm end where the left bearings infamously locks.
They talk about some adapter/end bolt, if you want it GXP.

Okay, let me get this out to be sure. It's faux GXP, more like direct mount intended for BSA?
So I just get the cranks & direct mount chainring or the adaptor if I want 104bcd chainring. Use my existing Shimano bb shells and just add/minus spacers for 68mm or 73mm.

Btw, was it correct for me to equate GXP with direct mount?

These cranks look great so I was checking them out. It appears that it’s a straight 24mm spindle which would use any Shimano 68 or 73mm bottom bracket. The GXP part seems to be how the chainring mounts to the crank arm.

@tripleDot, I believe you are correct. Keep using your Shimano bottom bracket and get a direct mount ring for SRAM gxp cranks.

However, I don’t see any pinch bolts so it may mount up more like a GXP crank.

If purple is what you want, here you go! These use the Shimano style bb's but only come in 170mm. Search "IXF crankset" on AliExpress.
