The flared handlebar CGB01 of Carbonda is great.

@mtbluvr68, Would you mind sharing the attachment as well?
Not sure I understand the single, two or seven people thing.
And the monthly limit either  :o

Maybe it depends, on the frame.

Another option...
PappaZ here tried to go direct to Flybike, arranged the shipping with WXY himself.
And happily got his frame.

Did you have positive results with that?
I tried it recently and the answer I got was that frames not yet offered by Carbonda themselves are either old designs, or proprietary moulds.

844
Did you look at  Flybike's offering ?
http://www.flybike-asia.com/product/6/

Then ask Carbonda to get one.

They first send the rear axle only. That's why it is very quick  ;D  :o
(joking)

Hope you'll be happy with it !!
There were two frames in the box, with two axles ;)
Brakes need a bleed...
Waiting for a stupid ring to put on the XDR freehub for the XD cassette.
And some tires.
And I'm done  :D

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Velobuild VB-R-186
« on: March 25, 2021, 03:02:52 PM »
Do ya'll think the VB-R-186 will be comfy enough for endurance rides? Weekly 50 milers? I'm not very aware on what makes a frame more comfortable. Aspects like changing the seat to handlebar angle seem to be applicable to all frames.

If you have a 27.2mm seatpost(that flexes more).
28 or 30mm tubeless tires, inflated at 4/5bars depending on your weight.
Put some spacers below the stem, or turn the stem up for a more upward position.
And a tick comfy guidoline.

All this make a big comfort difference on any frame.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Bb386 cranksets
« on: March 25, 2021, 09:37:42 AM »
You can fit pretty much any crank in a BB386 bottom bracket shell. The "BB386" only refers to dimensions of the BB shell in your frame. It has nothing to do with the crank itself. So as carbonazza said, you can e.g. buy a DUB crankset and a DUB bottom bracket for a BB386 frame.

Or you can use a Shimano crankset, with this BB: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32899151818.html

Or you can use a Praxis crankset, with one of their BBs.

I get this question so much, that I found using DUB makes things easier for most.
You just asked for a way out of Praxis proprietary BBs ;) and a 24mm is heavier  ;D

Yes. Just to be sure contact the seller.

Or maybe go directly to ZRACE's store on https://zrace.aliexpress.com/ (wow... they have their own sub domain on ali  :o) to ask them questions.
But they are more expensive.

Just one note.
If you plan to put it on a frame without spacers, the inside screw contact with the headset cap.
So you have to decide between a 10mm spacer, or no mount.
And another one... to disassemble the mount, you need to remove the bar from the fork to access that screw. Not a big deal, but booh  ::)

Really! Usually the copies are the worst! interesting to hear! thanks for the info Jim!

I bought from Runchita(the same store) my 2 for cold riding soft shells.

They have now two winters, the orange is less orange, but still great, and a very good price.

With a DUB BB, this one from ZRACE: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001288075645.html
Insure you take the DUB version as there are 24mm ones.
If I remember well, you can contact them to just buy the crankset+ring without the BB.

It has a 29mm spindle. But the width is not exactly the same as SRAM DUB.
Instead of an adjuster ring to preload, it comes with spacers you can choose.

Here's a good BB, for BB386 take the road version:

I don't know what you mean, but I've choosen that frame before I read your message. I've asked to tantan for an fm799 but it was no more in stock so they offered me the fm199
It was a joke  ;) Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Re: Carbonda or Carbon Speed
« on: March 23, 2021, 12:21:54 PM »
I'm looking (actually ready to purchase) for a 29er or 29+ cf fork with gear/bottle cage mounts. And Carbonda & Carbon Speed both have a model.

My problem is neither is responding to my emails. Anyone in contact with either one?

Yes, Wing at Carbonda replies quickly in general, but I'm a regular buyer there.
I remember telling her there were some folks not receiving replies.
She explained, sometimes you need to check your spam folder. They have issues with that.
And if your question or need is about something that is not ready and will come in a few months, it falls in the queue.
For instance if you ask them for a hardtail, since they focus on grave and full sus now, I guess you fall behind.
Maybe it is cultural to handle clients this way.

I don't know how Peter is doing now after his pause.
But it was always great to deal with. Not sure where he was getting his frame from.
Recently I saw that one https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightweight-lightest-cross-country-mountain-bike-frameset_p66.html that looks to a new version of the 041 Peter was the only one to sell here at that time.
Flybike-asia behind Carbonda, have a copy of the Stache he was selling too.
So maybe he had various sources, this was always opaque.

Painful.
Yeah... you give an advice, and the person takes your place in the queue  ;)
