Light Carbon LCFS917 XC Frame

For the moment, I should receive the rims today and except the frame and spokes, I have all components with me.

Hi Tim,

I am 1m82 tall and took the size L (20 "). I'll put a short stem in 70mm and I would refind the position I had on my last bike (Hongfu FM258 in 19").
The frame cost me a total of 833 € with an additional derailleur hanger, and delivery by XDB with pre-paid taxes.

Maybe a daft question but does anyone know what shock this could be run with for a 100/100 setup? and would the bike 'work'?... obviously not in the literal sense, just more in the sense of lowering a range rover won't make it a go kart...

Ideally looking for a full sus marathon bike, 100/100 - trunion and boost... usual suspects such as hong-fu 258 and carbonda 936 considered, but who doesn't like something new!!!.

I planned to mount the bike in a 100/100 setup with a 165x40 shock.  The head tube angle will be a little more open so a little less stable going downhill, but the seat tube angle will be a little more straightened and therefore more efficient on the climb, which I am looking for (I do XCO competition)  .

The hongfu FM258 was really cool, but without trunnion mount and geometry is less modern as two others.
I find the Carbonda a little to extreme, so this LightCarbon is a really good compromise for me.
I stumbled across the photo of this bike which I really liked (I'm not talking about paintjob...), and after a lot of research I discovered that it was about this frame. It is therefore mounted in 100/100 and that does not seem to degrade the geometry.

The photo looks like a standard rather than trunnion-mount shock.

Guessing the 40mm rather than 45mm should give the 100mm then. sounds a decent option then. Thanks

Even set up 120/120 the bottom bracket is pretty low and I get pedal strikes.  I would think going 100/100 would make it worse.  If you go 100/100 I would recommend going with a 165mm or 170mm crank.  If you want low travel maybe run 100mm rear and 120mm up front to keep the bottom bracket higher

The frame has finally arrived at home!  I weighed all the parts and the frame is rather light, I expected heavier in size 20" in non-SL version: 1858g without the small parts and 1898g with the hardware and the derailleur hanger.
In terms of finishes it is really high-end, the glossy black paint is magnificent, the inside of the frame is perfectly smooth, the ducts are well made, the wheel axle is light (39g) and well finished, ... You will understand that I am very satisfied for the moment! 
I made a small decoration with rather sober brushed gold stickers, and I made a protection of the chainstay with 3m 2228 tape, it does not look bad at all and I will try to take some pictures tomorrow.
To sum up, the frame took a little less than 2 months to arrive at my place from the time I ordered, and there were 2 weeks of delivery (shipped November 19 and received today).
