LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets

does anyone else have a problem with a lever "piston preload/adjuster"(small bolt in the brake lever) coming loose? I currently ride a lot in the mountains with lots of descending and I now have to readjust that bolt every other ride because it seems like it is slowly unscrewing during breaking which results in the pads barely contacting the rotor and it's freaking dangerous.

Someone mentioned there's a weird quirk with ER7 and UDH. Something to do with the bolt or something.

I tried searching for it in the thread and found one user, shot him a DM but haven't gotten a response yet. I sent a message to my aliexpress seller, I will update everyone once (if) I find a solution.

Is there B-tension washer on the ER7 RD screw mount? If there is, the washer needs to be in the correct orientation when attached to the RD hanger. In theory UDH should work the same as any other RD hanger.

There is one, and I did orient it correctly, at least I assume I did -the RD moves when I turn the B adjustment bolt. From what I understand, the RD should pivot around that bolt, but the play simply seems excessive to me. Maybe I am overreacting?

Agree, the lateral wobbling seems excessive. Not sure how to solve it - maybe a washer?

I definitely would try using washers to tighten it up. Regular RD hangers (not Shimano shadow-style) should tighten up without any wobble. Wheeltop's RD design uses the standard style interface and I don't think there are issues using UDH hangers with those groupsets.

That is my current plan if the ali seller has no better solution - ideally I'd love to get a new bolt that has a longer section of thread and allows the RD to touch the hanger and tighten up against it, as the washer could potentially move the chainline and I am unsure how that would impact shifting. What do you guys think, would a 1mm washer mess with the shifting or can I take care of that in the app?

Is the screw hitting stop in the hanger? Maybe the thread on the hanger are not tapped long enough, I you have a tap you can to to extend the thread if possible, looks like 1mm or so would do it

I checked that, even with another hanger I had as a spare (from a different manufacturer too) and I can confidently say it was not the hanger. To me, it seemed like the threads on the mounting bolt stop too early, so I hit the end of the thread before the RD actually gets close enough to the hanger.

The aliexpress seller (318 Bike Store) has responded, requested a few pictures and is sending me a new mounting bolt after a bit of back and forth. We will see if that fixes it - if not - I will just get washer and mount it that way.

If you know a new one is coming, just file down this one. Thread a nut on so that after you file it will make some neat thread for engagement

I am not sure that would help me, the screw bottoms out against the end of the threads, not the end of the screw (forgive me for my poor explanations). Basically, I think I need to add a bit of thread length towards the head of the screw, so that the head of the bolt can get closer to the hanger.

Just got my ER9 groupset - on initial look, it seems great especially for the money - I've been using GRT 12 on my gravel bike and am very happy with that so I thought I'd give this a go.

A couple of questions (that I haven't found in this thread)

- Any tips for updating the firmware on the controllers/brake/shifters - I've had no issues updating firmware on the RD and FD but every time I try to do the controllers, they seem to be updating (download step works) but then fail on the installing step - and then I need to reconnect the controller to try again - almost as if they're going to sleep.

- Is it possible to switch around what the buttons do - currently my right shifter, the big button shifts to harder gears while the smaller one shifts to easier gear - opposite to my di2 - so ideally I'd like to swap them round. I can see that you can switch which controller controls front or rear mech but not the buttons themselves.

I'm not a big fan of OSPWs, but this 18t offset pulley wheel actually works. It allows bigger cassette sizes while maintaining solid RD shifting:

On my eR9 groupset, I'm running a 2x 50-34t chainring + 10-36t XDR 12 speed with this setup and no additional modifications were needed except for swapping out the lower jockey wheel. Prices fluctuate, so I'd shop around or wait for a sale.

I've now managed to get the shifters updated so that's the first issue solved (kept the bluetooth button pressed while running the update - worked first time on the right, took a few goes still on the left one).

Still wondering about the shifting buttons - anyone know if you can switch around what they do?

I've had my ER9 V3 groupset installed and riding for about 2 months now - I took a slight tumble on the weekend and managed to damage the upshift switch on the right lever. The RD shifts fine using the app but the shift lever button needs to be pressed really hard and 'wiggled' for it to shift.

I've searched AliExpress and reached out to the seller "LTWOO Official Store' who advised they don't sell spare shift levers. Whilst I could buy from DJC, at their pricing I may as well buy a full replacment group set (which I don't want/need to do).

Has anyone come across a reasonably priced seller for spares for the ER9 V3 groupset?
