I have a small problem with the front derailleur (FD). When I try to shift the chain from the smaller chainring to the larger one, it’s very hard to do — there’s quite a lot of resistance, as if the derailleur were too close. I’m not sure if I’m describing it correctly.

Second question — the rear derailleur shifts perfectly fine both up and down the cassette, but on some gears the chain runs quite loudly. Does that mean I need to adjust each individual gear separately in the app if it’s not running properly?

1) do you mean when the chain is climbing up it almost feels like it's blocking the crankset rotation?

2) I'd say yes. I usually just shift into a noisy gear and try adjusting left-right and try to find the quiteset position. When I find one i try shifting to both cogs next to it and back to see if shifting is ok since the quitetest position does not always mean the best shifting. What i also found, shifting direction also affects the position of the chain: when you shift from larger cog the chain might be noisier than when you shift into same gear from a smaller cog. I suspect there's a bit of overshifting going on to speedup the shift: it shifts a little further out and then goes back to the set position but I'm not 100%sure

try moving the derailleur closer to the frame when i the large chainring. Maybe its pressing the chain into the chainring a bit too hard during the shift.

Can it be moved “manually” somehow? Or is it done through the app? Does the FD still have that small screw—what is it for?

I was off the bike for two months and the bike with eRX sat idle for a bit. Now that I am riding again I am having issues.
It keeps stopping working mid ride. As if the battery is flat. I can't wake the system up without plugging in the front derailleur to power.
I checked the charge. The app says it's 100%. The light stays solid green on the front mech when charging.
My shifters show green when I press the buttons so the charge in those is still good.

Whats going on?

Batteries probably still need a proper charge. I'd just get an external charger and try charging them that way. I notice with ER9/X if the battery power is below a certain point after being idle for awhile, they need external charging.

Hi guys, after few months without any problems i have one with Er9 v1;/ Last ride was in wet condition, after ride cleaning etc, RD and FD was warking fine, next day also but yesterday totally dead ;/ Battery ok, FD ok, shifter ok, cables ok (i have tested with second ER9), only RD is dead, no reaction when plug charger etc (before led was blinking). Probably water do some mes ;/ This is v1 so in this case have someone info maybe what happend with maainboard or where water could get into RD to protect it in the future. I have the RD wire contact protected

Also will v3 RD work with shifters and FD from v1?

looks like I fixed it.

I applied dielectric grease to all the connectors in an attempt to further protect against water ingress. At the battery end and at the Derailleur ends. I think applied the grease a bit too generously and it was causing a poor connection. After cleaning the grease off I completed a 3 hour ride yesterday without further failure.

I did my first test ride today, and I was wondering— is there any kind of protection to prevent the chain from cross-chaining? Because in some gear combinations the front derailleur wouldn’t shift down or up properly.

there's a "gear protection" toggle in the settings (three dots at the top right)
