I've answered the user in pm, but I'm 1.88/1.89 sometimes 1.9 depending on whoever measures me and how lol.

Anyway I have a 58 and feel it a bit too long with a 100mm stem for recreational use. I don't get any hand numbness or neck pain. Just some foot numbness but that's seat height and cleats position (and current overwheight Ahahah)

I think canyon calculation is actually not that way off. You'll get similar geometry on the aeroad and ultimate which are racing bikes. If you go for endurance, you'll get their L size too but geometry is completely different and not racing oriented at all.

Canyon doesn't do a bad calculation. Actually I see most brands starting to do much better suggestions than before.

Bike fitting industry is also thst... Some industry.

It's actually coming from the area marked as red where the clamp attaches to the body of the seat post. When I apply a bit more force by hand to the front/back of the seat, the clamp slips and I am able to rotate the seat vertically.

An update: today, I received the replacement seat post, haven't installed it yet but it looks promising. It appears that they added an anti-slip coating to the problematic area. Let's see how it plays out ...

All in all, the warranty claim procedure turned out great.

Evening all,

First post for me - I've ordered this frame in bright yellow. Can anybody let me know what length caliper bolts you need for front and rear ?

Thanks :)

I’ve done around 200km on it, and I’m totally happy with it. It weighs 7.8kg.

Modified: just added a couple more photos.

Hey all! Is there any chance that Schwalbe G-One Allround 35mm will fit into this frame? I ride a "gravel" bike and thinking about building one more on LCR017-D or LCG071 frame, but still an all-rounder (no pun intendent). Both looks fine but I like LCR017-D's sleeker look more. In short I ride mostly city roads and very shitty city roads, sometimes dirt roads and trails, so these tires are perfect for me and I need a strong frame with some extra tire clearance which will forgive me surprise potholes, big asphalt cracks, bunny hops, curbs etc. Any recommendations?

I need a strong frame

Did you read the thread? There have been several reports that mean I wouldn't choose this frame for the riding you describe.

Honestly I dont think u can fit 35 into the 017. I have gp5000 32 and there is not much clearance left next to the bottom bracket. I can try to measure one of these days

Random Story Time:

I've been having my business suits custom made from a factory in China. Customer direct. You select your fabrics/buttons/style, measure yourself at home, and have a ready made suit in like 4 weeks. The price is ridiculously cheap for what you get. And the fit is better than anything you'd get off the rack from a department store.

After 6 years of doing this I realize the communication and process is identical to dealing with these OEM frame companies. They just want your money. The answer is always "Yes." Whenever I have an issue with the fit of my suit and I send them a photo to analyze, they always respond with: "we checked with our department of bespoke tailors and pattern cutters."

I never believe them because it's all just auto-cad and machine work. They want me feel assured as if they're being proactive speaking with their experts. But again they just want me to keep buying. The difference here is an ill-fitting suit won't have me risking my collarbone and front teeth.

Not what I came here for - but now I’m gonna need the contact you use for those business suits please

I have a lot of generic tools but not a lot of specific tools for bikes and bike assembly.

Which tools would I certainly need to assemble this frame/bike when it arrives?
- LCR017-D
- Wheelset from lightcarbon
- Probably with GP5000 tubeless

That way I can buy them and not need to wait on them once the frame arrives.

Thanks!

I highly recommend torque wrench. Cassette tool as standard, a specific BB tool might be also required depending on your choice of BB, bleeding kit for hydraulic brakes, internal routing tool (at least for the handlebar) etc. According to my experience no other specific tools are required. In my case, all was purchased via AliX for pennies (except for torque wrench which set me back 50 EUR).

I can tell you what i forgot to order for friends recently: crankset spacers. spare olives & barbs. chain breaker.
Also, for random people reading this: ceramic headset bearings may be a good purchase to avoid rust vomit. My headset is vomiting rust (grease and rust, i suspect). It is not nice. The bearings are 11,000km old or so. I actually have a spare set, but i will do my utmost to keep ignoring the problem because i dont want to re-cable the thing. ceramic doesn't corrode, so maybe it makes sense to use ceramic bearings there. Although i suspect that the outside of the bearing would still rust just the same.
I also bought little thingies to attach one hydro hose to another, with the hope that you can pull the old one and feed the new one in one move.
I also bought blue plastic brake pad reset things. I used them this AM. they're 3d printed, which is a bit ghetto, but for the price, i didn't want to return them and bother printing my own. Havent ridden the bike since, but i do think the pads moved back, and it was easy to use. it's 2 pieces of blue plastic with a finger hole in each, by Risk.
Also, a nice set of coloured allen keys makes working on the bike nicer.
jeweler files to clean up exit holes and what not.
loctite for bottle cage threads, and the thread of the RD.

a bike torque wrench on alix costs 25-30 eur tops. you CANNOT avoid buying one.

The actual tire width is 33.6mm. There’s 4mm of clearance on each side remaining near the BB side, where the clearance is the narrowest.
