Is OP your friend? how would you know he needs a different size of bike? how? how?
Just because you read "warning" on some user manual that on one ever reads, doesn't mean you can come here acting like you're the best bike fitter who can easily determine the correct size for the rider.

1/ When you post on social media, you have to accept receiving criticism as long as it remains constructive. Freedom of expression, respectful debate based on facts and rules. Once again, I'm making an observation, relying on best practices, and highlighting points of vigilance regarding risks. This is just my opinion, but I'm not the one who would have problems.
2/ If manufacturers inform you of risks, it's not just for show (would you put diesel in a gasoline car despite the warning light???). You'll be at 20 Nm when they tell you 15 max? The UCI has nothing to do with this; it's engineering.
3/ I never claimed to be the best fitter in the world; in fact, I'm not a fitter. You're making things up to bolster your denialist rhetoric.
