Hello
What's the point of your argument?
we're not here to compare the fake with the real thing.
No, replicas aren't lighter than the original. If your so-called original fork weighs more than 500g, then you have a problem. Either your "original" V2 is a (bad) fake, or your scale is faulty, or you weighed it with the expander in the steerer tube...  ;D . The real V2 fork is around 350g, while replicas are more like 400g. As for the frame, the copy is generally at least 150 to 200g heavier. So yes, it can be difficult to route the hose through the fork, but that doesn't make the bike a bad bike..

Update. The hole was partially blocked and the cable had room to get through. We managed to get a wire brush in there and 10 minutes later the hole was polished off. Still not an easy job to get it in but at least its in. The bars were another horror story to feed the lines through. All the bikes I have build from western brands to few chiner bikes, this was by FAR the worse one to get the cable trough. My last Hygge S build was butter smooth in every single aspect.
Anyways, the bike should be done by the weekend now. That was a tough one.

I am not trying to make an argument, but an observation. This video from cyclespeedtours shows that the real Ostro Vam v2 (size 52cm in his video) aligns more closely to the frameset I bought a year ago. He got about 916 grams for frame and 496 grams for fork. If anything, the replicas are a lot lighter than the real thing. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. I have not seen Ostro Vam V2 genuine forks weight 350g that I am aware of.

Idk where you getting your numbers from. Even on Factor's official website, it says the frameset is 900g. There are plenty of online YouTube build videos of the real thing where mechanics weight it and forks are roughly 480-500g as well. The real Ostro Vam V2 is a little heavier than advertised. If anything, the replicas seem to be just as light or even lighter than the real framesets. Kind of impressive for a copy. Or it can mean that there is not enough material to make the frame safe.

Li at Polar, like most sellers, claims to have the best quality frames. And they have only kits started selling that Ostro after finishing its ‘development’.

A few people on the forum have bought his SL8, and the finishing looks excellent—the frame weights are also very close to the genuine version.
The frames come with a copy Darimo seatpost and bar.

I purchased the Nexum Drag copy and can say the quality is also very good. However, one issue I found was with the stem bolts: they’re aluminium, and the head of one snapped during installation. Aluminium isn’t great for bolts, so I swapped them for titanium. I was offered replacements but declined, and suggested they consider using steel or titanium instead.

One other point worth noting: Polar and RK Ultra—also trading under the names Mirror Carbon Fibre and First Class—are actually sourcing their frames from the same place.

So polar and RK are the same manufacturer?

Polar and RK are sellers.
Polar and RK are not the same and they are not manufacturers.
Most's sellers claim to be the source manufactures aswell, l this is rarely the case and they are just sellers like most of the counterfeit sellers
Polar and RK appear to be selling the same product from the same source factory.

It sounds like RK Ultra is buying from First-Class (FC) and Polar claims they make their own?
Your bike is from Polar, IIRC? I ordered from them and they had an issue with the graphics melting or something. The order eventually auto-cancelled. I've followed up with them to re-order, but they've essentially ghosted me over the last few months. I was trying to get the same paint scheme you had ordered.

If Polar is getting their frames from the same place as RK, I'm a little concerned, after seeing InsaneTree's experience.

Yohobike has probably the worst reputation around here and actually i dont want to get into a crash.

RK and first class are 100% the same seller, back when I bought my faulty frame he asked me to cancel my first class order and make it through the RK page to boost that store's ratings. Despite the apparent better quality from RK/FC/Polar, I wouldn't suggest anyone buy from them based on mine and other people's experiences here. It seems like their stores are maybe not even operating anymore? And I would just recommend avoiding that situation. I ordered my replacement frame from yoho and have been much happier with the frame overall despite the attention to detail on the accessories (bolts etc.) being not as good.

Yohobike has been fine for SL8
for me sl8 (yoho) was very soft , very flex, only on front was stiff. handlebar and fork. seatpost/bb and back felt like i had suspensions. and i am not a racer . i bought original seatpost which made some work. vam now is very stiff and madone gen8 too.

I purchased an Ostro Vam 2.0 frameset and the frame arrived with a problem where the seatpost fits. When trying to install it for the first time, it started going in with considerable resistance, even without the screws in the wedge. Now the seatpost won't come out anymore; I've tried everything – heat, pulling it upwards with a rope – and nothing has worked. Now I'm waiting for the seller's response regarding the warranty.

Video attached.
