The frame comes with 30mm in black metal spacers plus the carbon cone/spacer which sits over the head tube.

So question. Would you chance it fitting more spacers than that under the stem? I read on Google that 30mm is the max normally.

Is anyone able to tell me the size of the bolt needed for the out front computer mount underneath the bars?

I'm trying to find an out front mount but struggling. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a Wahoo Bolt?

I don't know the exact dimensions, but i'm using this mount if that helps : https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvDzFtu

Can anyone tell me what is the native disc size for the front and rear? Both 160, 160f/140r, or both 140? Or else, would I need an adapter to mount 160 both front and rear?

I have a shimano 105 groupset .
Front is compatible with 160 but you'll need and adapter for the rear if you want to use 160. Otherwise it seems to be 140 without an adapter.

Thank you all for the helpful insights in this forum!
I plan to build a bike using either the 268 or the 177 frame. I am currently gathering all other components. Which cable length would you suggest for a di2 groupset?

I have been struggling with clunking noise from the bar while sprintong/climbing hard or just rocking left and right. Did everyone I could think of. Played with torque on all related hardware, increased clearance with headset cover/ fork top. Issue seems to be coming from the bar itself. I inspected it many times, without any cracks findings.

I am writing here before going to Chris for warranty request since I have the bike for more than a year, but has been struggling with that issue since day 1.

Anyone faced that issue?

1. With carbon frames sometimes is hard to determine where the noise is coming from. I had a similar issue. I was sure the noise was from handlebar, headtube and it took me sometime to figure out that is was from the saddle!!.

2. Be sure that you can reproduce the noise standing up or moving the handlebar when you are not sitting

3. We do not know if you have an integrated handlebar or a stem/handle bar.

4. If you have a stem/handlebar, sometimes the noise comes from there. The easy way is lose the front plate, wrap the handlebar with teflon tape (the one use in plumbing) and thigh it.

5. If noise still is there, when you rock the handlebar with the bike still, press the front brake, place your hand around the fork headtube and rock the bar, If movement then you have to tight the headset (or replace it)

6. How many headtubing spacers did you have? are they setup correctly (pins and holes aligned?). The expander bolt that comes with the frame is short one, if you have extra spacers you can get longer expander bolt from Alibaba. You have to measure the distance from the hole inside the headtube that allows the front brake hydraulic to go inside of the fork)

7. If you can reproduce the noise with the bike still, it means rattling the internal  hydrauiic cables is not the issue.

8. Finally the last alternative like other users suggested is to take everything apart which ain't easy. If you get to this point, get some hydraulic cables sleeves and sliding them  inside of the frame so you will not get rattling. You will have to change the hydraulic tubing etc etc.

9. If all is OK and you get the noise when sprinting out of the saddle the press-fit BB is the most likely cause.

Good Luck. Chris is great but is very hard to diagnosed this type of problems over an e-mail ;-)

Ciao and Good Luck

Perfect. Thanks for the replies!
In general, experience with DPD is not great.

Looking forward to the build.

Saw a few people had issues with the cockpit coming loose. Would you suggest buying another expander plug from the get go?

Hi, all.

Frame arrived within two weeks of ordering. Which is great. Unfortunately, I have since fractured my ankle, and now the build will wait for a while.

Just checked and everything seems to be pretty fine, apart from two things:
1. Front fork cable exit for brake has not grommet, all other cable exits have. Is this normal?
2. There seems to be cracks inside the channels for the rear brake mount. I don’t mind them as long as it does not compromise the structural integrity. Anyone have any input?

Order shipped this morning, I'm curious to see the paint job in person... I had a bright pink similar to VanRysel helmets in mind but from the picture Chris sent me it looks more red than anything else. I'm liking the look anyways, I will probably just have to switch to a black bartape instead of the pink one I was planning on using  ;D
I will build it with Ltwoo er9 groupset, Magene P515 cranks/chainrings and my already owned Ican Aero50 wheels, hoping not to have too many difficulties since it's going to be a first build for me!

Sadly, on downhill had an chain drop and without notice i spin the crank a little. Crank blocked, chain melted and I noticed that the frame got little scratch on chainstay mostly paint and undercoat. The worst is that the Maybe 1cm scratch directly affect the carbon.

Do you Maybe know how bad it is? Will 2 comp epoxy will handle that?

I can't comment on the diagnosis but a few suggestions on how to prevent it. First of all chaincatcher is a must. They are cheap, light and work. Second is a chainstay protection. Some frames come with those but if not I always make one myself from a kydex sheet. You heat it up and shape on your chainstay. Stick it with a double sided tape and it looks neat like it was installed from the factory

I know both of them was used. Dont know how but chain slip between chainring and catcher. I used solid 6mm protective film. Of course i took off to pictures as it was also damaged.

most probably it looks worse on the picture than irl, because of how zoomed it is. if you can't feel the carbon deflect, if you dont see / feel any crack, if by using a coin and tapping it along the chain stay, it sounds the same, then i think you're fine.
I bought a supersix himod rim years ago that had pretty ugly damage because of a dropped chain. It's been fine.
I already checked using coin tipping and TBH the sound is similar but maybe it caused by lack of paint

Great service from Velobuild on this. Offered me compensation or replacement. Went with the replacement as I felt I wouldn’t have confidence braking knowing there is resin missing on the brake mount.

Replacement just arrived and looks good.
