I would go with the 54, and adjust with a shorter stem if needed. You get some more stack, and typically also have more space for frame bag and bottles with the larger frame.

Good points, thank you.

Hey guys,

I've been lurking this thread here on WW and on CT for quite a while and I'm about to pull the trigger on this frame, but I'm unsure about sizing.
I've build myself an Elves Falath Evo Roadbike last year, which fits me quite well. It's the 2023 version in 52 with a 378mm reach and 540mm stack. I'm running a 100mm onepiece stem handlebar with 70mm reach and 34mm stack. The seatpost has also a 25mm setback.

So I'm wondering if I should also get the 52 for the tideace noah, because it's pretty similar. The Tideace has a longer reach tho. The comparison on bike-stats geometry-wise doesn't look to bad, but I'm worried about the longer reach. It's 396, so basically 18mm longer.

So my questions are as follows:

How does my 25mm setback on the setpost convert to the reach measurements? I don't think its 1:1, is it?
Does the Tideace come with a setback seatpost?
I wanna run the AeroGx handlebar from elves supbrand Orome wich is designed for a 1 1/8" steerer diameter, does it fit on this fork? Or can somebody recommend another handlebar? I've seen Lexon mentioned, but I don't like the extreme flare these ones have.

Thanks in advance!

P.S:  I'm 175cm height with an 84cm inseam.

I have a 54cm elves evo (2024 version though) with 100mm stem.

I’ve ordered a 54cm GR201, should arrive in the next 10 days.
Will report back on fit, but looks like it’ll be good, though obviously more relaxed than the elves (which is what I want in a gravel bike)

I’m 183cm

That looks mint. Well done. My frame should be here in a few weeks. Can't wait. Love that Garbaruk 10-52 but unfortunatly I'm locked into HG hub for now. Would love that 10t available given that 44T looks like the largest I can go on front. But all part of the learning process.

Interesting. I would also want to go with the 54cm, because of the higher stack, but I kinda nervous about the reach. Additionally, with the 54 I have less seatpost exposed.
I guess you have the Falath Evo+ right? With the longer reach and smaller seat tube?

Which handlebar/stem or onepiece handlebar did you choose?

Lovely.  Any toe overlap with the 2.1's on the 52 frame?

Yes, I have the Evo+
Elves has a 90-400 bar stem on it

I’m going with a Lexon gravel bar in 90-380 (flares to 480 in the drops)

I noticed that after a fast ride on rough gravel, there’s some play in the headset. I ordered a Deda compression ring, we’ll see if that makes any difference.

Has anyone here installed FSA 55 headset bearings? Any gaps or issues?

The FSA No55R works very nice in this frame with a tiny gap. You only have to use the standard 52x40x7 for the lower bearing because of the integrated crown race.

Hi, can you measure your chainline on the center of the chainring and the maximum radius that your chainring has since it's oval? How much clearance do you have? I'm trying to figure out if i can fit a 0mm offset 48T chainring on the outside of a magene P505 which in theory should be no problem since this bike should fit a standard 50/34 and in my case it would be in the same position as the 50, but I've read some people struggling to fit a 46T.

Garbaruk 10-52
Is the transmission working correctly with this cassette? The cassette is not t-type, and it is further away from the derailleur hanger than the t-type.

My chainring has a 6mm offset, plus I’m using two spacers — though I can’t remember the exact size. A 46T wouldn’t fit without at least one of them. I’ll take some measurements when I get a moment and send them to you

The cassette works totally fine with both FlatTop and T-Type chains. I’m actually running a T-Type chain right now. Shifting is smooth, and there’s no issue with hanger clearance or anything like that (i use direct mount without hanger)
