Hi guys,
I've been following you for a while, and thanks to you, I've avoided Seraph and Tantan and bought the GV201 frame from Longteng. I have all the other components on order, but yesterday I was thinking about the handlebar and stem. I didn't order their specific handlebar, but I need adapters to use a normal stem on a frame like the GV201, which has integrated cable routing.
Could you tell me what spacers I need?

You can use any ICR system from Acros, FSA, Deda or Enve as long as it has 52 mm bearings.

Yes but I doubt the bearings will last long in wet/muddy conditions.

Hi, yes, that's exactly the one I ended up buying yesterday, this one here.
https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/it/ritchey-sistema-di-sterzo-upper-logic-e-comp-cartridge-drop-in-1.5-is52-28.6/137710158/p?tqw=One%20Size

I had to order the extra spacers seperatly. They are cheap, so I'd rather have and not need than need and not have.

TanTan GR201 (size 54) — White “stormtrooper” build

Inspired by the other GR201 builds, I also went with a white gloss paintjob for the stormtrooper look. Cost is ~€3.5k and the bike should land around 8.2 kg with pedals, cages, and sealant (haven’t weighed the complete bike yet — my scale is borrowed).

Rider / fit
178 cm / 70 kg. Size 54 fits me very well with a 100 mm stem and 80 mm handlebar reach; I might try a slightly shorter stem for snappier handling.

Spec highlights (Full build in PDF)
• Frameset: GR201 size 54 — frame 1,272 g; fork 392 g; axles 66 g; headset 128 g.
• Cockpit: Lexon UNOX 400×100 integrated bar/stem — 344 g (needed a few spare spacers to mate nicely with the headset).
• Seatpost: Elita One MT05 — 141 g.
• Crankset Leese C01 160 mm cranks (373 g) + PassQuest 44T (105 g);
• Drivetrain: AXS mix — Apex HRD levers (477 g), Rival HRD calipers (190 g), Red XPLR RD (378 g), Red chain (247 g), XG-1391 cassette (287 g).
• Wheelset: Elitewheels Edge Gravel 2.0 — 1,284 g.
• Tires (tubeless): Conti Race King 2.2 front (606 g), Schwalbe Thunder Burt 2.1 rear (571 g), Orange Seal.
• Pedals: Favero Assioma Pro MX-2 — 384 g.
• Hardware: Most mounting hardware has been replaced with Ti Bolts, Aluminum Adapters and Aluminum Bolts

Ordering & frame details
• Inquiry: Jul 4 → Order: Jul 7 → Photos + tracking: Jul 28 → Delivery (Germany): Aug 7
• Finish: White gloss (YS701). Fork supplied without side 3-bolt mounts (on request).
• Included: headset + both thru-axles.
• Paid via PayPal F&F. Final price from TanTan incl. shipping/taxes: USD 729.
• Notes on quality out of the box: paint is OK but not boutique; some overspray on flat-mounts; mounts a bit flaky. BB shell was clean.

Quick notes after the build
• Coming from a 2020 Diverge X1 (40 mm clearance with 40 mm Thundero tires), this is a big step up for comfort, grip, and tire volume.
• 160 mm cranks are great — I won’t go back to 170+ mm.
• The new SRAM Red 1×13 (10–46) shifts nicely, but I’ll probably revert to a 10–50 Eagle for better climbing range. (I wish there was a 1x13 10-52 option yet)
• There’s ample room for a larger ring — 48T, possibly even 50T, though 44 is good enough for most gravel descents where I live.
• Paint finish is so-so; bolt mounts a bit flaky. Flat-mount faces were oversprayed and not very flat; still working on rotor alignment and may need more careful sanding.
• The Lexon cockpit feels good; took a bit of tinkering and extra  spacer/adapter to get the interface right.

Conclusion
At ~€3.5k this is incredible value: essentially best-in-class drivetrain, ultralight wheels, Favero power meter pedals, and clearance for proper wide tires — all wrapped up in a sub-8.2 kg package. The only real complaints are that the frame itself is on the heavier side compared to the rest of the build, and the integrated storage feels a bit unnecessary to me.

interesting and informative post, thank you. I've gone for the longteng version, should be shipped soon hopefully, ordered and paid for on 7th Aug.

curious to your 3.5k pricetag though. I've ordered frame/seatpost/axles etc, sram rival/eagle mullet grouppo, saddle, tyres, bars, stem, cranks, bb etc as well, and so far sitting at 1800. really the only thing I've left to order are wheels, cassette and chain. (pedals also, though i have the same as you already), all to fit inside 1.7k.

though if I weigh it I might look at replacing some bits and spending more!

Edit:
Ah ok - I see you've got double sided power meter pedals, whereas I have single. also you went with an SRAM 220 euro cassette, i was budgeting for more like Sunrace or so - must do a comparison in weight and see. I also went with cheaper Senicx cranks

So am also looking into this awesome looking frame, already have quote from LT.
I am curious about sizing, I also have the VB-R-168 road bike in size XL / 58 cm ish with a 42cm handlebar.
189 cm high and looking more for comfort that aero. Would 58cm also be the natural choice for the GR/GV201 frame?
Right now i have a 42 cm handlebar, but based on recommendations from this thread I think i will use the Lexon Unox handlebar that have 20 degrees flare, would it make sense to go with 40cm instead?

Now I just also need to find the right color/design that might be the most difficult thing :)

Im 189 and weight 86kg. I have 88cm innerseam. I got recomandatet 56cm from Alisa from LongTeng. Was this a bad recomadation?

Sorry I never did a YouTube video, but I have shared more recent pics here and on weightweeenies.

The ztto BB has been great but note I swapped the bearings out almost immediately for enduro steel bearings with the contact seals on the outside and non-contact seals on the inside. This feels like a really good value option as they have held up really well in some rough conditions.

The VoiceVelo seatpost has been a nice upgrade, it smooths out trail buzz. It's not going to make a difference on really rough stuff, but it's a noticeable comfort upgrade on lighter surfaces.
Thanks for the feedback - My ZTTO BB has arrived this morning. Agree about swapping the bearings out, will do that before I fit it. I've ordered the ElitaOne Seatpost.

I'm exactly the same height, weight & inseam (freaky right?) and I have ordered a 56cm based on my existing bikes, knowledge & research. Completely happy with the choice. Granted it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm confident it is the right size for me.

i'm 188cm and 87cm inseam. i got the size 56 and lexon thinline bars with a 100mm integrated stem, and a seatpost with ~20mm setback. i used about 3cm of headset spacers. The fit is pretty good. i do a lot of climbs and i can sit up quite straight with my hands on the tops. If you prefer a really loooong reach then you might need to size up or get a longer stem.
