They still look awesome and I'd prefer one bc the design simply "seems" superior in my mind, but I did actually think there was more of a weight savings.
They are superior. Please take a look to this video:
I didn't expect this :)

I don't like the looks of a lefty, but they are the 'best'.

If a standard fork really performed that poorly, every time I am in a turn and hit a bump, my fork would act as if it were locked out and not slide on the stanchions.  I do not experience what the speaker claims is the big negative of a conventional fork.  Not to mention, every motorcycle, downhill bike, enduro bike, all use a convention double stanchion fork.  I'm not saying a Lefty isn't a good fork, I am just saying that I don't see a conventional fork as being so inferior.

Sussed, thanks for posting up those IP-036 pcs!  Not enough FS bikes around here :).  I noticed your seat angle is tilted back, looks odd to me, I run my seat level to a few degrees forward so it's easy to quickly get in and out of the saddle.  I'd be really uncomfortable if I had my saddle at the angle yours is.

How is the bike riding?  Have you run into any problems or is there anything you are not happy with?

These pics were taken about 30 seconds after I finally got the front wheel on !  I do ride with a slight upward angle on my seat but it was too high and has since been adjusted.

I have just done a 300 mile tour of the Western Isles in Scotland on the 36 and loved every minute of it.  It was 98% paved roads so not really the ideal trip for a FS but it coped admirably. Since being back I have been out on my local trails in conditions more suited to the FS and it has been exceptional.  Despite being far from full fitness I am confident I will beat my PB's, the bike is light (Should be on the scales by Tuesday) and accelerates away up climbs easily. It out performs my abilities by a long way.  ;)

I have had a few issues with some of the components (rattle from Gripshift, CTD remote cable not seating properly) but none at all from the frame.  Before the build while I was waiting for components I stripped down every Pivot and bolt and greased/threadlocked then re-torqued and I haven't had a squeak or groan yet despite the frame being subject to Scotlands unpredictable weather 24hrs a day for a week.

Massively chuffed with the build.   8)

Sussed, thanks for the update.  Guess it's time for new pictures with your seat adjusted :).

I will need to do a tear down of my frame this winter, I have one or two pivots that are creaking.  I've tried putting a few drops of oil on the pivots and it does quiet it down a bit but the creak comes right back 1-2 rides later.  It's good to know that yours doesn't make any noise so I will put some effort toward getting mine quiet.

I am also very happy with the IP-036 frame.  The suspension works very well in all modes (climbing, pedaling fast, and defending).  IMO, the ability to lock out the suspension using a bar mounted lever makes it even better.  The suspension makes every root, rock, and drop seem half the size.  On the trails I ride, I am also a bit faster on the FS frame.  Overall, I think it was a good choice for me.

Hi guys,
here are some pictures of my 057 built this year. I use it for XC marathons usually with 2x10 XT but had a 24h race when changed to 1x10. There were no issues with the frame or with the bike it's really a fun to ride it.

Love the color choice!  Similar color as my car :).

The folks around usually like it... ;)
Originally I wanted this color but with matte finish. I was told not to go that way that is terrible to keep clean. I'd say they were right.
Currently thinking about buying a rigid fork (for wintertime  8)) that will remain unpainted 3k glossy.

The rigid fork might look even better if it were the same color as the frame.

I think the white forks look sharp. Very racer-ish.

So far, matte has been OK for me, but it isn't great. The latex from the tires sucks like crazy to the frame because of the matte finish. I would do gloss next time.
