The groupset arrived today, as expected no additional fees to pay so 392€ is the final price. There is in fact no region lock or anything like that so pairing the groupset to the phone was no issue. Installation was pretty straightforward. The only negative are the rubber hoods that are hard to pull making it a little difficult to reach the clamp screw. The brake hoses were pre filled and i took care to not spill any oil when installing. This way i managed to not have to bleed them myself. They brake perfectly just like that. For the shifting i just did the initial setup and some b-screw adjustments and it shifts really well. Haven’t even looked into fine tuning the single gears as it just works. I will probably have a look at it to make it 100% perfect but it doesn’t seem to be necessary right now. I did a first ride and yeah - it just works. There‘s really not much more to say. I expected a really tricky and annoying setup but nope.

For those also having the magene pes p505 here‘s an interesting information: the charger of the derailleur and the charger of the magene seem to be the same interface. I haven’t compared them directly and didn’t try it out but they look very similar. Would be pretty convenient if you are travelling for example and have to carry only one cable.

They are not cross compatible, magene doesn't charge wheeltop and neither does it work the other way around. Magnet polarity is different, it doesn't go in

I've charged my PES P505 with the Wheeltop charging cable. It's at a bit of an awkward angle (read: the angled cable-end is facing towards the crank arm) and will disconnect quite easily but it charges just fine. Are referring to charging Wheeltop with the Magene cable?

I want to contribute with my impressions from the first couple of rides:

- Installating the GeX was absolutely no problem. As many others, I didn't need to bleed the brakes after shorting cables. With dropbar-integrated cables, it's difficult to fit the cable into the Brifters. I recommend to completely unscrew the Brifters from the (tightended) clamps for fitting the cables, makes life much easier...

- Adjusting the deraillieur was absolutely no problem with the app. Just make sure to first set the limit screw for the smallest cog, and start the adjustment in this cog moving your way up to the largest cog.

- Once set up, shifting performance is very good. The smaller button on the right brifter is at first a bit difficult to "find". But as there's also a button on the left, you don't actually need it.

- I'm running it 13-speed with a Ekar 9-42 cassette. So (quite obvious), the derailleur works well with a 9 T cog (Wheeltop website states 10-11 T for smallest cog). I'm using a 12-speed flattop schain, so I can't say anything regarding compatibilty with Ekar chains. However, I wouldn't expect any problems.

Overall, I'm super happy with it!

Good to hear, I'm planning a similar build but with the ekar 10-44. Which chain are you using exactly? Does it work anyway?

I use a standard 12s force flattop chain. I guess any 12s flattop chain will work.

Does anybody know what the "trimming srew" is good for? It's located above the limit screw for the small cog.

Do you know how to record shifting data into the garmin fit file?
I've added the shifter as gear sensor, I can see the shift ratios in the data screens, but shift data is not recorded to the fit file.
